I knew I needed hip surgery. I also knew I was tired of male doctors who don't listen to women. I also knew I wanted surgery to be done in a small hospital. Dr. Stevens listened to me. She performed my hip surgery flawlessly at Las Colinas hospital and saved my hip from needing total replacement. I have done followup visits at her office in Lewisville and have followed her recovery advice to the letter. everything is healing nicely. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Stevens!
Her bedside manner is great she's always been helpful.
Dr. Stephen's is an amazing surgeon. I am 5 wks post surgery and I can honestly say that for the first time in almost 3 yrs, I finally have some relief from the extreme pain in my hip. Dr. Stephen's and the whole staff are Angels!Forever Grateful!!!
Dr. Stephens has been my doctor for a few years, treating me for osteoarthritis, and finally a very successful total knee replacement. When she moved to Texas Bone & Joint recently, I was apprehensive that I would not feel as comfortable as I had at her previous office. Not to worry! Texas Bone & Joint is great! The staff is very personable, the office is clean as a whistle and very state of the art. I would give both Dr. Stephens and Texas Bone & Joint an A-Plus.
I fell at work and broke my elbow and had to have two surgeries on it.after the second surgery I was unable to bend my arm at all and was still in severe pain. She did no x-rays or anything and release me to go back to work. She claimed I needed to go back to work and just deal with the pain. She kept calling the workman's comp physical Therapy where I was going asking them why I had not gone back to work. She was talking to anybody and everybody there at any time they said anyting she would ask them if they were.she was asked if she would do an x-ray on my arm to find out why I could not bend it and why I was in so much pain and she said no that she was a surgeon and that it didn't need to be done.Luckily I was sent for a second opinion and there was a bone missing that was not in place and that is what was causing all my problems. Thankfully I have a surgeon that fixed it X-rays at every appointment to be sure that everything is holding. I would not go to her because she also lies. She put on my release to go back to work that I was getting on the floor and playing with my cats. Well first of all if I get on the floor I am unable to get up and my cats jump in my lap so why would I get on the floor. Then she said that I was moving my mother out of her apartment.I was there when the movers came but the only thing I carry downstairs was to plastic grocery bags with the few of my things in it. I was having to help take care of my mother who had dementia and I had told her numerous times how hard it was because I could not clean I could not cook because of my arm so she put in the paperwork that I was taking care of my mother with dementia which was true but that I had no issues in doing anything pertaining to her care. and there were some other things in there that were not true and things that she had told the physical therapy people that were untrue. She did not know what to do after the second surgery because she even had to bring in a elbow specialist to help with that surgery and they still didn't get it right. So if you want to get care and get the help that you need and have it followed through until you're healed then I would not go to her because when she doesn't know what to do she'll just send you on your way. She has a God complex and thanks that she can do no wrong but when she does she won't admit to it and fix the problem she just send you away and acts like it never
My family and I feel very fortunate that we found Dr. Stephanie Stephens. I had been experiencing awful hip pain, for an extended time. Dr. Stephens was so knowledgeable, caring and has awesome bedside manners. After trying conservative treatment, surgery was scheduled. I am thankful Dr. Stephens took such great care of me. Thank you Dr. Stephens and staff!
Dr Stephens was recommended to me after a shoulder/arm MRI. I have seen her several times and she has explained my causes of pain and provides notes of our visits. She has treated me most effectively and kept me active and playing mobile sports at age 66.... no small feat. She is a true champ. She is helping me to monitor my rotator cuff [age] deterioration. I cannot say enough good things about her and her staff.Sincerely,Sterling Forsythe IIICarrollton, TX

Dr. Stephanie Stephens is very professional, trustworthy and thorough with superb bedside manner. She performed two knee surgeries on my husband and follow-up care for issues with my knees. She's a great listener and teacher. We highly recommend her. We used to live in the North Dallas area. Now we travel from Houston to Dallas to receive her care. She's worth it.
My husband and I refer Dr. Stephanie Stephens to everyone we know in need of orthopaedic care.
I had my knee scoped about 10 years ago by Dr Stephens and had no problems since. When I started having shoulder pain I waited about 6 mo and decided to go visit Dr Stephens. After a cortisone shot didn't work so we decided to do an MRI. I completely trust her after my parents both had double knee replacements by her in the last 5 years and are doing amazing. I had shoulder surgery to fix all of the stuff the MRI showed. She has become like family to us. She takes time with each patient!!
Dr. Stephens was on call when I broke my ankle and had to have surgery. I have already recommended her to two other people. Awesome is an understatement for this doctor.
Dr Stephens is an amazing surgeon. I first saw her after suffering for a year with an on the job injury. I was forced to see doctors at concentra medical and they did nothing. When I finally was able to see dr Stephens she reviewed my file and I had surgery within 7 days. Unless I point them out you can't see any scars. I have full use of my shoulder and absolutely no pain. i would highly recommend her. She is also very personable and listens when you talk.
Dr. Stephens seemed a perfect fit. I'd been diagnosed & have been in intense pain. I called them last Weds. explained to them that I was hurting badly and ready for surgery and was given an appointment for the following Mon. (today) at 2PM. But they needed to verify ins. & promised to call me back later that day. I called back late Weds. Thurs, & Fri. no response. Now an hour before the appt. they call me and say they don't accept out of network patients whatever happened to first do no harm?
I've had great service and a great experience over the past 6 years as a patient with Dr. Stephens. I trust her with the care of my knees (and any other part that may need her care!). I recently had bi-lateral knee replacement and couldn't be happier with the results.
Dr. Stephens operated on me for a torn meniscus and torn ACL. Her staff is friendly (important for me), she is easy to talk to, and she did a great job on my surgery. My recovery time has been much faster than expected, so she must have done a good job on my knee. She even went out of her way after the surgery to provide me with pictures of the inside of my knee because I'd mentioned that my son was interested in seeing them. Overall great experience, and if I have another severe injury (but hopefully not), I'll definitely go back to her.
Had a non essential surgery. Dr. said we should take a look even though the MRI showed the minor tear of the miniscus in the knee was healed. I trusted her that perhaps something else was going on that produced residual minor swelling though another Dr later told me it was normal to take time for all the swelling to go away. Dr. Stephens told me after the surgery that I had a beautiful knee, not the knee of a woman my age, had no arthritis, and would never need knee replacement surgery. Post op - so much pain and swelling. Dr. said this only happened in 20% of people. She gave me arthritis. My life has never been the same. I was very active and enjoyed travelling and working out. Now I can't do hardly anything and its been two years. It was a complete life changer and ruined my life.
Very through and took time to explain injury.
The front desk ladies were a bit unwelcoming but the Hispanic nurse/assistant was really helpful with the process and Dr. Stephens was amazing with the info. and treatment she gave me. I haven't been to a doctor in 15+ years and so I had a lot of anxiety but the doctor really put me and my ankle to ease. Thank goodness I chose them of the recommendations I received.
