I've had problems in locating a good Optometrist to make a good pair of eyeglasses for my troublesome double vision. I have also had other eye doctors make lenses that failed to eliminate the problem. DR Cooper, in one visit, was able to develop the specific lens description that met my needs. The pair of glasses were also provided by Dr Cooper's Optical shop. My double vision has been eliminated.

I saw Dr. Cooper for a corneal ulcer two days ago. A corneal ulcer is considered a medical emergency. I called his office this morning to inform him that the eye drops he prescribed were not effective. I also explained that the AAO recommends alternating vancomycin or a fluoroquinolone antibiotic with tobramycin. I told the front desk the exact medication I needed to get from the pharmacy multiple times. I’ve been prescribed them in the past by different eye doctors and they were effective within hours. Well, he finally calls me back at 1:30pm and leaves me a voicemail while I’m giving my toddler a bath. I get the voicemail and call his office back and they are closed. Their hours are until 5pm Monday through Friday. He even told me on the voicemail that I need to “hurry and call back” because he would be leaving the office. He left me with no way to contact him and without calling in the antibiotic eye drops that I requested from him through his front desk hours before that. He didn’t treat my condition properly and I now have to pay out of pocket to go to the emergency room to treat my eye. I don’t appreciate or respect any health care provider that will shut their doors before their listed hours whenever they feel like it, and those who will leave a patient with a condition that is considered a medical emergency with no way to reach them and just leave. And on a Friday when I can’t see anyone for 2 days. I’m a single mom with kids and bills and now a hospital bill, THANK YOU Dr. Cooper.

Dr. Cooper and his staff took very good care of my two teen boys and me. They are welcoming and Dr. Cooper is personable and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him and his office.

Went on 4/1/21. Needed new contacts Rx. Cost $125, which included a new glasses Rx. Tested for glaucoma, which was a very quick test with a handheld device (a tonometer?). Also got 5 free pairs of my contacts Rx to see if they worked. If not, I could come back in for free and try a different brand. I asked for dailies and was prescribed 1-Day Acuvue Moist. They seem pretty good! Asked for an extended expiration date, as I know that's legal and I didn't want to have to renew my Rx each year, but Dr. Cooper was afraid of liability. Understandable. Also let him know I'm trying to save money and would probably order online. Dr. Cooper was very professional. Also, he warned me that dailies will often cost a lot more than bi-weeklies, so I appreciate that. As it turns out, the cost at Dr. Cooper's office for my brand is on par with 1-800-contacts, and of course, you're supporting a local business. Beforehand, I had called around, and other optometrists charged the same or more for a contacts Rx. Long story short, I was very happy Dr. Cooper and his staff, and I recommend them.(In full disclosure to help those also on a budget, if your Rx hasn't changed (i.e., your contacts still work fine), then you can renew your Rx online for $20. 1-800-contacts does it, but I think others are even free (if you order from them). No glaucoma test, though. Google for at-home/DIY options; hopefully they'll get better/cheaper soon.)

Best service I've ever got.

Have used Dr. Cooper for years. He and his staff are kind, caring people. I always leave with a good prescription for my new glasses and have complete confidence in him. While I have moved an hour away, I still come back to see him for my yearly eye exam and for any eye problems.
