List of Jeremy Baker's Reviews
I adore Dr Baker and Carrie, and all their nurses and the front desk person, but their office admin is very rude. They tried to verify insurance for an appointment today, and they told me my plan had termed. I called my insurance and was told it had not, and they hadn’t even checked with them, so I relayed this to Beth? (I think that’s her name) and she said that they had already tried, they wouldn’t be trying again, and I needed to pay the balance plus the appointment fee to be seen today. I asked to give her the insurance number, she said they had already tried once to verify and that our policy had termed. I tried telling her again that something must be wrong, but she refused anything other than us being a self pay saying there was nothing she could do. At that point I told her she was being very rude, she should at least double check or do more than just say either pay or nothing, especially for the reason my daughter was being seen. So I had the insurance manager at my husbands job call to speak with her. He verified that we did in fact have coverage, she told him basically the same thing, but got a number for Cooks central billing, (which she never even offered me) and called them, and figured out that the office filed with the ID number from a two year old insurance, but our current insurance address. Had she just double checked the group number like I offered, she could have seen the mistake. The end result was my daughter not getting seen, frustration, and no help at all that she really needs right now. I asked for a note to get her back into school, but initially was refused because she had not been seen. After them speaking to our insurance manager she all of a sudden was willing to give a note. I asked to speak with Dr Baker personally to let him know what happened, and she refused to even try to let me speak with him. This isn’t the first time we have had issues with her, trying to get our insurance verified with we got this insurance a year or so ago was also a headache. Their computer system doesn’t work very well with our insurance, (which I’m sure is a frustration to them, but it’s out of our control and they still accept it) and I asked her to call for verification, and she refused and only tried online. I had to again call our insurance manager to get him to call her before she agreed to call. My word is not good enough, I have to get others involved for simple matters that don’t require a third party. I never wanted to leave a negative review, again, I love both providers and the vast majority of their staff, the office admin is just very inflexible and blunt, and is only worried about payment instead of the patients best interest. Today didn’t have to go this way. Had she just done a little digging, or tried to reverify, double check anything at all, my daughter would have been seen and would have gotten the help she needs.
dr baker is a very awesome dr he has been our sons doctor for over 10 years idk if we will ever switch we love Dr jermy baker
My son has been a patient here for about 3 years and we have always had a positive experience from the time we walk in the doors until we leave. Dr. Baker takes his time and gives you the opportunity to asks questions without rushing you.
All 3 of my daughters have been patients of his since we moved here, and since he was in Crossroads. Since moving to little Elm, the actual "service " we receive is little more than basic. I honesty am very unimpressed with the Cooks Children medical system in general. I have hung in there after being pushed onto his partnering pediatrician, without so much as the courtesy of asking if we would prefer him.My breaking point has been the last month. My oldest daughter came in with a problem that she had been seen for over 3 years ago, that continues to occur, with much more frequency lately. She had not gone to the bathroom in almost 2 weeks. They sent her home and told her to take Miralax. No tests (btw, they run NO labs here), no follow up questions about her diet and what we had been actively doing to alleviate her pain, no concern that she'd been basically bed ridden with pain all weekend. I had to call back (because her father took her) and voice my anger about their complete lack of service, to which the doctor called me back and finally referred us to someone who could ACTUALLY help. She's now having surgery on the 14th. EVEN THAT wasn't my breaking point, though close. My youngest daughter was seen in their office in January. She was 10 months old. We don't choose to do well baby visits every month, so she had been seen 4 times by the office.Apparently this time, though we paid our deductible, they didn't bill insurance. I get a call from a creditor this past Friday for a $100 bill (that should have gone through insurance and been paid). They never once sent us letters, called us, nothing. They just sent a bill that THEY didn't take care of to collections. So Goodbye and Good Riddance to this joke of an office.**EDITED TO ADD** CALLED THEIR OFFICE MONDAY TO GET SOME INFORMATION TO TAKE CARE OF THIS BILL THAT THEY MESSED UP ON. WAS SPOKEN TO RUDELY BY ALYCE (SP?) AND HUNG UP ON. CALLED BACK, SPOKE TO MARYANN, WAS TOLD I WOULDN'T BE GIVEN THE BILLING OFFICE NUMBER UNTIL I GAVE HER ALL THREE OF MY CHILDRENS NAMES, I ASKED FOR THE OFFICE MANAGER TO CALL ME BACK. IT'S FRIDAY AND I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE A CALL.In digging through MULTIPLE review accounts, this has been an ongoing problem in this office for almost a year now. They do not care if you leave or stay, and that's ashame because I know Dr. Baker, and I suspect if he knew half of how many of his patients have had to deal with because of the office staff, I suspect I'd get more than just a google response that says "we'll look into it". For shame.
Just posting so other Medicaid/STAR patients know. This office, despite Dr Baker being listed as a provider on Medicaid’s official website, does not accept Medicaid. I was able through Medicaid to select him as my son’s primary doctor and Medicaid approved. I called the office to make an appointment and they said they’ve never taken Medicaid patients at this location, nor do they plan to. Apparently Cook Children’s requires him to list himself on the HHS as an option but it’s then to the offices discretion whether they actually will take Medicaid. This office doesn’t.I’ve had to go through, switch my sons provider and pend approval for that, which is a pain. I’m posting this so other parents don’t deal with the same problem.
Dr. Baker has been the physician for all my children, 16 years worth, but since moving to Little Elm Office the customer service is way down. On hold for more than ten minutes or more, running behind schedule often but mind you if we are late they cancel the appointment or charge an extra fee, guess it is time to ask for a big discount on office visit?
My children have been Dr Baker's patients for the last 13 years. I have never met a doctor who truly treats his patients like family and really knows them. He remembers running jokes, asks about school and specific things that were going on with them, and readily acknowledges all of us if we run into each other outside of his practice. He is knowledgeable, understanding of concerns, and doesnt over perscribe while treating issues jusiciously and agressively to ensure my kids are as healthy as can be. I'm so glad we found him and honestly wish all doctors could observe him to learn how to build relationships & work with patients.
Dr. Baker took care of my children and granddaughter. He is amazing. Great with kids, informative and fiscally helpful too. I can’t express how thankful we are to have been gifted with such a wonderful doctor!
We love Dr. Baker!
Dr Baker is good but the office staff is horrible. Seeking another pediatrician as staff is not communicative enough or timely.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
