DR. PLATA is the BEST Dr EVER!! He’s knowledgeable, caring and thorough! I was running a fever last week and I went to 2 different hospitals and the Dr’s couldn’t figure out what was wrong with me. I had a visit with DR. PLATA he figured out what was wrong he sent the medication to my pharmacy and the next day after taking the medication my fever stopped and I started feeling better, I’m now back to myself!!! Chanel his nurse is also very caring and personable. I’ve referred my co worker and I’m in the process of getting my husband switched over to his office!!!

Dr. Plata is very thorough with an excellent bedside manner. He knows his stuff and was able to show me my risk for cardiac arrest when looking at my labs. He has been patient with me while I tried to change my diet and exercise more to get my cholesterol levels improved. He promotes preventative care, and I feel that I am in great hands with him as my physician!

Amazing staff, amazing care. Dr. Plata is very knowledgeable and it’s clear he cares about his patients. He listens to understand and is very kind.

Dr. Plata is the caring doctors we use to see. Very caring and listens to your concerns. You feel like a patient and not just a number. He doesn't make you feel rushed and addresses your concerns. So remember, the day you wait a little longer to be seen; our Doctor is most likely listening to a concerned patient and the next time it may be you that need to be heard. Dr. Plata Thank You for bringing back good old personable doctors the kind that heals your body and spirit!

Thank You D. Plata and staff for the relax atmosphere of my appointment. I have been a patient at NIMA for more than two decades, and today i received the best care and information about my health. I feel good of my decision to have NIMA as my provider. I want to apologize to the nurse that took my pre information before the Dr visit i am bad with remembering names, but you made a caring impression on me. i will do better on my next visit , Dr. Plata salute to you sir. It is inspiring , it was a relief, and vey informative, and i could go on . i am discipline patient and you saw the hard work i put in, and pointed it out. Its going to be beneficial medical gain to be your patient.

Dr. Plata was extremely thorough addressing all of my concerns and discussed in detail my treatment options so I could make an informed decision. His medical office staff are amazing as well! Ms Jeanne went above and beyond in helping me with appointment issues and Chantel was very kind, welcoming, and attentive while taking my vitals and preparing my paperwork for Dr. Plata.

I haven’t had a PCP in years ; after alot of reaearch I came across Dr Plata. I’m so glad I did! This man is an angel. He takes the time to understand your concerns, answers your questions & follows up! I absolutely love this Dr!

Take heed. I waited until my Mom passed before writing this review. While trying to get help for my mom and after sending SEVERAL messages via NIMA's Health Portal, Dr. Plata admitted to me he doesn't HAVE TIME to read messages on the portal from or about HIS patients. I had scheduled my Mom a tele-med visit for 01.19.2021 @ 8am. HIs MA confirmed she would call me & then Dr. Plata would call me. After no call, I called the office & was told my mom was put down as a "no show" since she was supposed to go INTO the office for the appointment. Luckily, I had the health portal messages to confirm the appointment was to be a TELE-MED visit. Had ANYONE including, Dr. Plata, read any ONE of the MANY messages I'd sent in the previous 5 days, they would've seen my mother was scheduled a tele-med visit AND was in NO condition to go to an IN PERSON appointment! So much more failed to occur after this & I think if my Mom would've gotten the initial help she needed & that I had been pleading for she might be alive today.

I waited until my Mom passed to write this. She passed on 02.01.2021. My Mom loved Dr. Plata. I was skeptical when he began with the Northeast Internal Medicine Group in Live Oak, TX My hunch was correct. Dr. Plata, admittingly, doesn't have time to respond to patient concerns via the Health Portal. His MA doesn't respond in a timely manner. I never had a poor doctor/patient relationship until my mom started seeing Dr. Plata in 10.2021. My mother needed hospice care & I pleaded to get some help and it wasn't until I, myself, went into the office, to get the referral ball rolling. All during this time Dr. Plata had time for a TV Interview & an interview with the City of LIve Oak for their Monthly Magazine. Clearly, his patients aren't his priority.
