Absolutely one of the best doctor's I've ever had treating me. Great personality, caring and compassionate. Truly cares about his patients and goes the extra mile. Having a heart issue is always stressful and not easy. Having a doctor that listens, cares for and truly wants to see you thrive and get better is priceless. Kind of a rarity these days. Thank you Dr Mekala and staff for everything you've done to get me on a well path. 💗

I'm sure that Dr. Mekala is a fine doctor.His group, Sound Inpatient Physicians of Michigans is horrible for billing. My husband was diagnosed on Jan. 15, 2017 at Genesy with lymphoma. Dr. Mekala must have been one of the many doctors involved.Have received a bill for over $1400.00 from Sound. HAP says Sound never requested approval. Sound says that is not their responsibility, should be the hospital's, refuses to take responsibility, would not answer calls from our HAP representitive.
