Leaving a 1 star rating is more than this guy or his PA deserve. They both should find another profession that does not include treating the elderly. They need to lose their medical license. The PA, Kim, refused to give my very elderly mother, who had a serious UTI, any antibiotics due to "protocol" and was mad that she was bothered on a weekend when family members complained and requested immediate treatment.

Our family's experience with Dr. Pirtle has been remarkable. I have appreciated the time he has taken to explain to me the real situation with my 99 year old father and his health. Dr. Pirtle's concern for my parents' health is evident and he goes far beyond what any other doctor has done for them. He monitored my dad's problems all through the night and into the next day. he even visited through the week end. I feel very fortunate that we have Dr. Pirtle as part of my parents' health care team.

He does not have a very good bedside manner. He gets defensive quickly if you have questions and does not like it when you have anything to say that is different than what he has stated.He works with nursing homes and is quick to diagnose without doing a thorough examination of the patient.We chose to change physicians for my mother because he does not seem to have time for all his patients.

This is the first Dr. I have had experience with who calls me with exciting news about my health. He has been very helpful, in and out of the hospital. Some reviews I read make no sense as Dr. Pirtle obviously is competent and a very nice person. My wife and I are very pleased. Thank you Dr. Pirtle.

He did absolutely nothing for a family member during a very scary time. He gave a diagnosis without working her up properly and sent her home. He spent little to no time trying to figure out what was going on. She then suffered at home and was too scared to seek treatment elsewhere because of what he told her and our family. This was by far the worst experience my family has ever encountered in the medical field. We are stuck now on what to do next.

When my husband had severe infections that the hospital could not cure, Dr. Pirtle had the expertise to do so and quickly. I trust this man with my life!
