Jessica Gray's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Gray has always listened to me, explained treatment and why I need it. Everyone in her office has been so friendly, treating patients like family. I'm not just another dollar. Lubbock is lucky to have her!

Dr. Gray and her staff are absolutely amazing. I did so much research on her before coming to see her. I was blown away. Not only does she provide over the top exceptional care, but she is so involved in the community. I work in the medical and education field so it makes a difference to me. I found out from other people that during the beginning of COVID she was one of the people volunteering (not even paid) to work some shifts at the COVID testing drive through site in a parking lot. Just because she wanted to help educate and give back during the pandemic. She also has more recently volunteered her time creating educational materials and events about COVID and vaccination. She took it upon herself to reach out to the health department, Covenant (a competing hospital), and TTUHSC to bring together people in a way that has apparently never been done before to benefit the Lubbock community (this was featured on the news that it was one of a kind event).

She has been such a resource for the employees of the hospital as I know many people (nurses and others I know personally) that come see and trust her (which to me says a lot of they pick her). She is a professor and works with the medical school at TTUHSC teaching medical students. She also volunteers on a medical school committee for professionalism. After hearing all this in my research I also learned she works for free for a nonprofit clinic in east Lubbock helping their pediatric patients who are underserved. I think that’s pretty neat too. There is a reason she has been so popular lately!! She’s worth the wait to establish care for sure. She takes her time with every patient in every clinic visit. If your visit is a little delayed, it’s because she’s making sure every patient leaves with what they need (which I know she does for me too). Her nurse Jonie (spelling?) is so amazing. She gives the best flu shots. The girls up front are really sweet and give water and coffee. One patient even brought them presents the other day as a thank you for always being so kind! I have never met or heard of a doctor so amazing who is also so involved in the community. And I heard she is a new mom to an infant! How she does it all I don’t even know! I asked her last time I was there “are you always this cheerful with patients all day?, and she said “yes!” Haha. Her nurse practitioners are also phenomenal. Michelle and Jay are such an asset. The new clinic remodel looks so nice (I took a quick picture of the lobby to include in my review if it lets me upload). I love her social media stuff. It’s nice for me to learn more. Her clinic won an award for clinic of the year several years ago but I think they deserve even more recognition now! UMC and Lubbock is lucky to have her.

Literally such an amazing experience. I’ve hated needles my whole life and the entire staff was so kind helping me through my fears during the procedure. As far Dr. Gray she is very knowledgeable and so very kind. So glad I found such an amazing doctor

Our insurance assigned as PCM since our son is attending TTU. He was treated in ER and told to follow up with her. We can’t even get a call back~~~ have left 4 messages explaining urgency and crickets ( no response).

Dr. Gray was interested in personal service but her practice has grown beyond her ability to maintain any level of caring concern. Now she seems to be a 30-year-old pretty doctor, just a few years out of medical school, that is only interested in building her practice be any means. You’ll see the Facebook likes counter in her office (this is just to prove two things: #1) I'm not a fake reviewer and #2) she truly cares about how many “likes” she gets (it’ll be interesting to see if the device gets taken down).UMC rewards such quick growth, evidenced in her getting newly refurbished offices. But now, as a result of her rapid growth:1. She must keep up with that growth.2. She’s limited to how much time she can spend with any patient (granted, sadly this is common for anyone working under a big corporation).3. She’ll always have a student coming in before her (be prepared for your visit to take twice as long).4. There is no such thing as seeing her as your primary care for casual concerns (they’ll always refer you to an urgent care (that doesn’t have any idea of your background, etc.)).5. Physicals are cursory glances that the nurse could have done - asking if anything has changed and can we just keep you going on your medication (read the other negative reviews, that’s par for the course).6. Inadequate training by her corporation as evidenced but the fact that she and her staff do not adequately understand HIPAA and confidentiality obligations. Other patients in the waiting room will hear all of your conversations with reception.7. Finally, nothing is timely - calls and/or emails may be returned days later and only after you’ve had to go to an urgent care for your issue.I'm sure I’ll get the UMC obligatory “Thank you for your feedback. We aim to provide the highest value service to all of our patients. We welcome our patients to contact us directly at our office to discuss any questions or concerns.” That is a nonsense statement that is just used to deflect and seem like they care since they can’t legally respond under HIPAA.Nothing will change. I'd suggest finding someone else who can be truly attentive to your needs.

Had my first visit with Dr. Gray. Was a little nervous at first. But she quickly put me at ease and made me feel comfortable. Will definitely be making her my primary physician!!

This is the most incompetent doctor I have ever heard of, my mother went in for her "yearly" checkup and all she did was take blood pressure and listen to her chest! No lab work, didn't ask pain level, didn't check her feet so swollen she can barely walk but you can bet Medicare will be Charged for all of that. If you're old and on Medicare forget about getting a decent checkup. I am also filling a complaint with Texas Tech physicians- and the medical board

I went with a friend...I was not impressed how they seemed to be more bothered by us asking questions..I thought that is what you should do when you go and see a doctor...
