List of David Phillips's Reviews
Following my cancer diagnosis, Dr Phillips contacted me to discuss my case & offer his help. He requested better imaging tests, discussed my diagnosis with me, and then performed the surgery. Even though my cancer was stage 4, he recommended against chemo, to my great relief. He even explained his rationale using historical data! Three years later, the cancer appears to have been completely removed and has not returned. I highly recommend Dr Phillips for kidney surgery as he's an amazing surgeon.
Went in for a consultation and then subsequent procedure. Dr Phillips was very nice, knowledgeable and personable. The procedure went smoothly and I felt st ease throughout the entire process.
I needed to have an emergency stent back in August. He didn't put his name on my paperwork, so when I call his office i was told they could help me. "Sorry we have no record of dr. Phillips seeing you". I was sent to another office who never heard of me, they sent me to another, and that office sent me back to Dr. phillips. I only found out who did the original procedure was because I had to be taken to the ER at Scott and White, because of complications from having the stent too long.
My husband went to him to have his prostate checked and had a procedure like a cystoscopy to look at his prostrate. My husband ended up with a very bad UTI and severe spasms. He continues to have spasms and is having difficulty in urinating with lots of pain. He went back for follow up and the doctor gave him more antibiotics. No change in his results. We will be going to a different urologist.
We have been going to Dr. Phillips since about 2010. He is very professional and knowledgeable. The rest of the staff is happy and friendly. No complaints at all.
Dr Phillips and staff are definitely 5-star. I had a bladder cancer removed several years ago and was well satisfied with results. More recently Dr Phillips treated a urinary problem I have as a result of of a stroke. I trust Dr Phillips explicitly.Bob Holcomb
Called this morning at around 9am. Pushed 2 to make an appointment. The girl that answered the phone had an attitude. Not friendly and wouldn't answer my simple questions. Asked if there was anyone else I could talk to. She said to call back. Will not use this doctor, but not b/c of him.Edit: Going to count the previous incident as bad timing for the rep. Also don't want to give the doc a bad name for someone else's behavior so I called back today to try again. A different, much more professional representative answered. I will post again after my appointment. Hope he's gentle. :)
Dr. Phillips was extremely thorough in his evaluation and went beyond the standard minimum. I was very impressed. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Phillips is the best urologist I have had. He is gentle, soft spoken, and he answers all your questions. He really shows he cares.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
