If I could give them less I would. My dad has been in this facility less than 1 year and the medical issues they have caused is unacceptable! I pray no other family has to deal with this. I also pray that they really look into this place and on how they care for the residents. Please if you loved ones are here physically check on them DO NOT go by what they tell you over the phone. Do you family a favor and go physically check on them.

All the nurses are really great. They need to stop the quarantine they don't need it anymore

I used to think this was a very good nursing home. There are still a lot of great people on staff here, including Lynn Graham, Monica, Will, the new nurses Meagan and JoAnn and others. MaKala should have been fired a few weeks ago. She took my roommate to the shower and after the shower he went to therapy. Before she went she stripped his bed, came back to make it but decided it was ridiculous (he uses a lot of pillows) and literally left for the day with his bed unmade. The nurse that was still there (Samantha) was very nice and made it when he woke up or had it made when he woke up. This morning she woke him up before 6, told him she would give him 10 minutes, she didn't, she left our room for the shower at 6:06 and was back at 6:21, he is totally blind and big. Can you really take a person in a wheelchair to the shower room in the next hall over, undress him, shower him, redress him, and get him back to room in 15 minutes and be doing a good job? The honest answer is NO. I don't know why but when he's gone he likes to have his light on, it needs to be off when he's there. MaKala was TOO LAZY to walk a few steps to turn on his light because SHE WANTED to wait until he got back. She is also related to him and use to give him everything he wants, now she does just the opposite and don't give a rat's ass about right and wrong, but doing things her way.They need more CNA's, the housekeepers have been doing at least a part of their jobs and the housekeepers aren't suppose to be touching the urinals and I just found out from one of the CNA's that they are suppose to be checking the urinals every couple of hours. Only one has actually been doing it.The wound care nurse is a liar, claims I'm not compliant, which really isn't true and never has been. The fact is that the Podiatrist did tell me I need to be in a wheelchair but he also said I could walk using the walker if it wasn't twice a day. Once or twice a week is fine and because my grass is high I decided to use a cane. And frankly I think she belongs in prison, a few weeks ago she walked in on me in shower after I told her I was getting dressed, yesterday morning when she delivered my breakfast she knocked once and didn't really even wait for me to answer (and that happens a lot) but I tried to say something like wait or Just a minute, but she walked in on me using the urinal with my breakfast tray and this morning LIED and pretended she didn't know what I was talking about. Also a lady named Maria from Wisconsin was giving my roommate his DRUGS and ignored the fact that I was using my urinal and went right past me instead of having the integrity to go back outside and wait a couple of minutes.With some exceptions, I think this a God-awful, God-forsaken, Hell-hole. The kitchen is just following orders, which is to IGNORE DIETARY HEALTH in favor of making us fat and being DRUG PUSHERS

They make you feel like you at home and we are all one big family

This is the Very Best Home for my Father and my Aunt. Adminastrator is the Very Best. Director of Nursing Danita is the Absolute Very Best. They are on Top of everything. I can't praise them enough. Only one Bad Seed in the home is an assistant Director. She is the Worst I've ever seen. Very verbal and unprofessional. But it's ok. Everyone else overrides that one bad SEED. I Absolutely Love this Home. Only one Bad Seed. Maybe it will not be able to grow. Larry

Magnolia has taken such good care of my mother after she arrived from the hospital for nursing care and rehabilitation. They hired some of the best health care professionals, physical therapist, cooks skilled in nutritional foods for a healthier body, laundry, housekeepers, building and garden maintenance professionals to ensure a safe and beautiful home for their patients. I can rest easy knowing my mother is happy, comfortable and very well cared for at Magnolia Living and Rehabilitation in Luling, Texas

My step Dad has been a resident at Magnolia Living and Rehabilitation for a few weeks now. They are taking wonderful care of him. I very blessed to know that. I hope I can visit soon.
