Dr. Patel and Stacy were awesome from the first time they walked into the room. We live in Lubbock, TX and came to Dallas in hopes of better care. We researched other surgeons but with his stellar credentials and background, we chose him. He was very thorough in expectations and recovery. Dr. Patel and his team went above and beyond and provided the highest level of care possible. He was very understanding, explained everything we needed to know, and was very personable and caring. My husband Mike had a 5 level neck fusion and he feels better than he ever has and is totally pain free! We would highly recommend Dr. Patel and Stacy for your neurosurgery needs. You will not find a better doctor. They have definitely mastered their craft. Thank you for making our experience the best that it could be!
I had a great experience in their office, but communication is otherwise absolutely DREADFUL. I was referred for a CT and MRI, but my insurance didn't accept the imaging center that I was referred to. I called and messaged via the patient portal to ask for a clinic in network. It took three days to get a reply. The following week, I called the imaging center to schedule and learned that the CT request didn't specify which body part was supposed to have imaging. I feel like Ive gone round and round for two weeks for this. I am in severe pain and struggling with daily life. The stress of dealing with this is taking a toll on me. I feel like I am just a number now. I miss my old neurosurgeon in Colorado. This disregard never would have been acceptable in his office, but here I am.
Amazing! Dr. Meyrat works miracles!!!!
My first visit was pleasant and professional. Every member of the staff provided the information needed to help me understand what was causing my pain and what the options were to treat it. Dr. Katzen was very supportive and informative. I felt confident in his ability.
Great suppport staff. Thank you for bearing with us & answering questions from my PT.
Doctor that is a straight shooter. My experience with him was respect and Courteous.
Dr. Katzen and team of Moody Brain and Spine were amazing. They answered all of our questions and didn’t rush to the next patient. If I do require a Neurosurgeon and still in the area, I couldn’t imagine trusting another Neurosurgeon to work on such an important part of my body.
If I could give zero stars, I would, because this place and this doctor and staff don't deserve even the 1 star. I was referred to Dr. Patel in Nov. 2023, and had to wait a few weeks to get an appointment. I was finally seen on Dec. 14th. I waited 3 hours (2 in the lobby and 1 in a room) to be seen only for him to spend maybe 10 minutes in the room with me. I was referred for an MRI, which was done in December. I have yet to hear anything about it. The original follow up appointment was made for 1 month later. That appointment was canceled because I was never asked for my availability, it was scheduled for me without any input from me, and it was scheduled for a day when I couldn't make it. When I called to reschedule I was told that I couldn't schedule with his NP because she couldn't read MRI results, so I was scheduled with Dr. Patel. I called again later to see if they had a cancelation and was told by someone else that I could see the NP because she could in fact read an MRI but that if I wanted to be seen anytime soon, I would have to drive over an hour to the Dallas location. So I scheduled because the sooner I get answers for my back pain, the better. Well today I was informed that they had to cancel my appointment because Dr. Patel would be going into surgery instead. I could reschedule for a time that was incredibly inconvenient for me, or wait another month. Not only was the person who called me incredibly rude, condescending, and did nothing but talk over me, but she was quick to inform me that they couldn't do anything to accommodate me or even give me the option to work me in on a different day that wasn't a month away. Nevermind that I've been living with the back pain this whole time without any answers, but I was also informed that I wouldn't be able to see any other physician in their office because they weren't the ones that ordered the MRI in the first place. The lack of empathy and patient care is why I wouldn't recommend this office or that doctor to anyone. The staff is uncaring and that reflects how little this doctor seems to acknowledge his patients and what they go through just to get some answers.
Staff and doctor were very courteous and efficient.
Dr Patel is a good physician however he gets defensive when you bring questions about your procedure to him. I also have had to wait over a hour and a half while he saw patients who were scheduled after me. I am not sure what exactly the problem is but that’s not how you treat your patients.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
