Dr. Bening took out my gall bladder several years back, recovered with no problems whatsoever A couple years later he took out my thyroid with same excellent results of recovery. If you decide to use him, just make sure he has his work boots on when you go to the operation an you will be fine.
Nice doctor he give you proper time and explain every thing
I visited Dr. Bening's clinic February this year. I was about to give 5 stars for Dr. Bening. He is a wonderful doctor. However, his office sent my lab work to out of network Pathology office. Both the insurance company and the provider do not seem to cooperate at all. I don't even know how many times I had to call both of them. I am still struggling paying this bill. I recommend other patients, whether all other providers working with his team are in your insurance network or not before you get any kind medical service.
My husband as had 2 hernia repairs from Dr. Bening. He would have been so much better off if he hadn’t had the first surgery. I totally feel that surgery was recommended unnecessarily the first time. The first surgery was done at Seton. Everything went well and the scar can’t even be seen. However, his hernia just moved up and it appears his abdominal wall was weakened by the surgery. The second surgery was done at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center. My husband ended up with a hematoma and a surgical site infection. He now has a nasty scar the size of my thumb and his hernia now is bigger than ever. His complications were totally blown off by Dr. Bening and I’m pretty certain it was not reported as a surgical site infection. His bedside manner is good enough but if something goes wrong he will not have your back. My advice is to avoid any surgeries at Cedar Park Regional and not to place your trust in Dr. Bening.
Excellent Surgeon. Great disposition.
Dr Bening is an amazing doctor. I have been seeing him off and on since 2008. He did surgery on myself and my brother n law and I have 2 other friends who go to him as well. We all are very happy with him. I have been to see him for other issues and he has taken care of me and made me feel comfortable while discussing my issues. I turn to him for almost all issues to see if he can help me.
Office staff very friendly, great customer service. Dr. Bennning answered all my questions, never did I feel rushed. Surgery went well. I would recommend him to all. If your looking for a Dr. Who really cares about you and what your going through, Dr. Benning is the Dr.
Very compassionate. Really like him. He performed an endoscopy.
Dr. Bening is an outstanding doctor. His demeanor is tremendous. His professionalism is unparalleled! Dr. Bening performed surgery on me yesterday. The entire experience was amazing (as surgeries go). Tom and his staff did everything to make me feel completely comfortable.
Answered questions and thoroughly went over findings and diagnosis.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
