The doctor and his staff walked me through the entire surgery process and have made this journey a great experience for me. My insurance didn't cover this, but staff worked with me to make payments until I was ready for surgery. The follow ups and advice have been amazing. My only regret was not coming sooner. I gladly drive from Harlingen to see Dr. Del Pino. Highly recommend!!

Be careful using this doctor. There staff is unprofessional snd they don’t care. They are trying to bill me for a consultation from December of 2020 and here it is July 2021. Now normally they make you pay before anything happens and I was told this consultation was no charge. My patient advocate told me that before the consultation and she also told the staff there that she told me that. Apparently my advocate was in the wrong, but this is not my error it is theirs. Your office needs to quit harassing me over a 300 dollar bill for A 5 minute consultation that I was told there was no charge for. I have had enough of being harassed.

I requested an appointment online through the website. I got a confirmation email and even called a day before to verify the appointment because no one called me. When I spoke with someone she said she didn’t see my appointment at all. When I told her I requested it online she said that it wasn’t a real appointment and that it was just a request for a nurse to call me and get info and talk to me about WLS. I even asked if i could skip that phone call appointment and just go straight to getting a real appointment with the Dr. she told me I couldn’t and that it was mandatory to speak with the nurse. The day of my phone appointment, no one called me so after 2 hours past, I called the office. The lady said that she didn’t see an appointment for me for that day and when I told her about the call I had with someone else the previous day, she said that she didn’t know what I was talking about requesting an appointment online. She then put me on a hold and then someone else came back and said sorry for the confusion. Got my insurance info (didn’t talking to me about WLS) and said someone would call me back in 3-4 days after verifying my insurance to make a real appointment. That was almost 2 weeks ago.

My insurance card has a full sentence: “Call 888-***-**** to confirm there is no coverage for emergency room or hospitalization” and their response automatically was "Your card says it does not cover for hospitalization. So it won’t cover surgery on the hospital" without properly verifying. After I responded upset, they THEN reply with a professional friendly response. I was referred here by many friends and honestly first impression counts. Never again.

While Dr does not care if they lose a new patient or not, he needs to hire professional staff. I was recommended with high standards but first impression counts. They did not even bother to check my insurance information or provide more feedback but simply turned me away. THEN they apparently went “above and beyond” to confirm that I do not qualify for surgeries “AT ALL” so instead of explaining other payment options or providing positive feedback. In basically not a candidate since my insurance doesn’t cover. My mom wanted to go here too, I already told her to go somewhere else.

I want to let everyone know of the wonderful care and surgery I had performed by Dr. Del Pino.I was suffering from horrible aches and pains on Monday, August 17,afternoon. And as the night progressed man i couldn't bare the pain but said it will hopefully go away(I took tylenol in hopes). After tossing and turning in the middle of night with this crucial pain on the rise of my abdomen i got up tried sleeping in my couch, tried walking it off, my husband reaching over in despair in what to do ready to drive me to hospital but I refused and said this would go away.Well it didn't the pain grew bigger and bigger and I called my OB's (24 weeks pregant) office Tuesday August 18 and I went in and long behold got rushed over to hospital. I had no idea still what was going on all I knew is that the pain I had was getting bigger and bigger. Well within less of an hr of being at the hospital Dr. Del Pino came in for a consult and was very thorough and gracious with my consult and stated I could have appendicitis.I was so scared and feared for my babies well being and the pain was horrible but Dr Del Pino reassured me that he will begin test to confirm anything and he will help me get better. I remember asking him to make the pain go away and it wasn't long enough when I got some test done and he came back to inform me of having an MRI done and explained what that would help us in. And I appreciated all the information so much I had never been through anything like that before. I was sent over to get my MRI and not even 30 mins after that I was getting prepped to go into surgery! It all happened so fast but the pain was not holding back. Dr Del Pino came to me again and informed me he will perform surgery to remove my appendix and he saw the fear in my eyes but I knew I was in good hands! Even while in the OR he came up to me again and said to relax and he would take care of this for me and I trusted him with my baby and my life.And I was awaken to a successful surgery and my baby girl was doing great I was extremely happy and PAIN FREE!!! Dr Del Pino performed an amazing surgery and took wonderful care of this first time mom to be. Even after surgery he checked on me like 4 times and finally discharged me. I am extremely thankful and blessed to have fallen into his care and expertise.It is now 1 week since my surgery my incisions are healing beautifully,my baby is feeling great, my belly doesn't hurt or ache, I am not having any post op symptoms or complications and I have to say its all thanks to the wonderful work and care Dr Del Pino and staff did for me. I can assure you that you can trust in his work and care.Dr Del Pino, I sincerely thank you and am forever grateful you took this pain away from me and my baby.
