In 2014 he performed a surgery on me. I called MANY times stating I was unable to "function" properly (bowel movement) and numbness (not even knowing I needed to go). I was told over and over it's normal. I was unable to get pain meds since DEA took away his script abilities. Not only was the issue not corrected it is now worse. I still continue to have numbness with pain in areas uncommon for normal "bathroom" functions. I have SHARP staples in my (clearing throat) rectum and they hurt. I'm still trying to find someone who can fix what he did. To make things worse there was NEVER an offer to correct this.Any employee reading this you won't find me under the name here on Google. You may reply to this review with the best email for me to reach you and I would be more than happy to provide my name and any other information you need from me. It's been 6 years. When will you guys decide to correct this and help me?
I received excellent treatment and respect . Thank you Dr. Devilleneuve and team . Staff in the reception also very helpful and courteous, thank you all

Dr. Devilleneuve and his team made a fantastic cholecystectomy on me, the whole experience was stress free and it went smoothly. Great job!
I was seen by Dr. Scott D. here and he told me the surgery I needed to have was a simple procedure (Umbilical hernia repair)..... 3 weeks after surgery I had to go to the ER after my belly button busted open with blood and pus everywhere. I literally had to have an 8 inch needle stabbed in my belly button 5 times to suck the excess fluid out of my belly button, while I was awake. They determined the infection was from my hernia repair surgery and the original surgery had left over a lot of blood
Had to go to the ER to right a wrong from his work
The staff, and health professionals at Dr. de Velleneuve's office, as well as the front desk staff, and health professionals at the Stonebridge Surgery Center, are beyond top notch ! I was treated with great respect, care, kindness, and courtesy. They were the same way with my sister who was there to assist me.All these people make a GREAT team of highly skilled professionals, and you can sense that they respect each other too.I have to give great thanks to Dr. Kable, who was my anesthesiologist. He had a very calming effect on me pre-surgery. Major kudos and thanks to all of them !
Thanks for helping my wife, we are very satisfied with all the service you provide us. You are the best Surgeon in Texas!
Dr. DeVilleneuve was dismissive and treated my wife like dealing with her was an inconvenience. He preformed a surgery and told my wife after the completion of the surgery that she could not be prescribe any pain medication because the DEA took away his authority to prescribe.Do not use this man.
Dr deVilleneuve was wonderful when I had to have my gallbladder surgery, I felt safe with the care I received. When my daughter needed her appendix out, his office was the first one I called. He is a great surgeon!
My appointment was for a surgery consult to repair an umbilical hernia. Dr. DeVilleneuve eased my mind and explained things well. His recommended approach was conservative, his staff was friendly and organized, and I didn't wait more than 5-10 minutes. I am a self-pay patient and his prices were excellent.
I have seen Dr deVilleneuve for surgical needs in past, his office staff is very pleasant and prompt to return phone calls. When it comes to your healthcare needs, Dr deVilleneuve is straight to point. When my daughter was in need of having her appendix out, I made sure that Dr deVilleneuve was the surgeon to be consulted. I knew she was in good hands.
Very friendly, great bedside manners, his office staff is super nice and friendly and always returns my phone calls! He took out my gallbladder via laparoscopic procedure and I had a great recovery! His PA Jennifer is great as well and very friendly! I would recommend him to all family and friends.
I was given incorrect diagnosis - I was told I needed surgery for a incisional hernia. I went and received a 2nd opinion to find out it was a pulled muscle, not a hernia as told.
I would seek 2nd opinion before committing to surgery. Thankfully I did to find out I did not have a hernia as told. Mine turned out to be a pulled muscle, not a hernia. My insurance company was charged $850.00 for 10 minutes of Dr.'s time and a incorrect diagnosis.
I had a para-umbilical hernia repair done one year ago, and I have no pain or discomfort. I made sure I chose a doctor with a lot of experience doing mesh hernia repairs, because having mesh permanently attached to my abdominal wall sounded a bit scary. When I asked him about mesh-migration, he allayed my fears by explaining that he uses many welds in order to hold the mesh in place. He has a friendly, energetic personality; I highly recommend him.
I recently had my hernia repaired by Dr. deVilleneuve. I can't say enough good things about him and his office staff. He explained my condition and the procedure to me very well. Gina, his scheduler, was fantastic. I didn't have to do anything but hand her my insurance information and the date I wanted to have my surgery. She handled the insurance end, and I didn't have to deal with my insurance company once! My surgery went great, and I am feeling so much better.
I was informed by my primary care doctor that I had a hernia on my left side. After reading some reviews in D magazine, and researching different specialists... I visited Dr Devilleneuve. He spent all of 4 minutes speaking with me about my concerns... and passed me off to another Doctor, stating it was a lower back problem. After visiting Dr Alexandra Dresel (a well respected general surgeon at presbyterian off walnut hill in dallas) she diagnosed me with an inguinal hernia. I have surgery next week. I'm very happy I got a second opinion, because I've been in serious pain and needed an answer. Dr Devilleneuve seems like a nice enough guy, but I found this experience to be very poor... and felt to be just another number walking through his office.-Jake Mai
Dr. deVilleneuve is an amazing surgeon. I have gotten to experience Dr. D from 2 perspectives: one as a pre med student observer and the other as a patient. As a pre-med student, I shadowed Dr. D in surgery for a week. Many of Dr. D's colleagues commented on how superior his surgical skills were. Dr. D is fast at diagnosing surgical needs in the clinic because of his level of expertise. He can diagnose a hernia in less than a minute because he sees hernias all day everyday. Dr. D excels at surgery and that is the type of surgeon you want! He does the same types of surgeries over and over again, so he has truly honed his craft. He does what is best for the patient, no matter what. When I needed hernia surgery of my own, I called Dr. D. I had seen him perform so many hernia surgeries that I was not nervous at all about going into surgery with him. I would trust Dr. D with any type of general surgery need.Dr. D performed my inguinal hernia surgery and did a great job. Surgeries are painful and recovery is hard for certain surgeries regardless of the surgeon you go to. Even though the recovery was painful, I knew my hernia repair was flawless and I was going to be fine. Dr. D treated me with dignity, respect and care. If you need a hernia repair, appendectomy, gall bladder removal, lipoma removal, bowel resection, or have any other general surgery need, I would highly recommend Dr. deVilleneuve.
This medical practice was at the top of my list for service, professional courtesy, etc. Beginning with the front office staff - I cannot remember experiencing such polite efficiency. In seeing the doctor...I found his initial assessment to be complete and thorough. He explained the treatment options clearly, and left it to me to make the best informed choice. As I am on a limited budget, I asked his office staff to thoroughly research mi insurance plan to ascertain as close to exactly what my costs would be; which they did. Afterwards, the assessed fees were in line with the original estimation. The surgery went well, as well as the postop call from the doctor. The recovery process was clearly outlined in writing, and has been great, and exactly as described by the doctor. If given another similar appropriate medical issue, I would highly recommend Dr. deVilleneuve to others!
