Had to wait a long time for her to come see us to see what was wrong

I saw Dr Matthews on Wednesday for painful, bleeding, stage 3 hemorrhoids. She said that the only thing that would truly be effective would be surgery, so we scheduled for the next Wednesday. A couple days later I ended up in the hospital because I was bleeding, the really big hemorrhoids were hanging out and I was in an extreme amount of pain. I was admitted to the hospital that night, stayed all the next day, with IV pain medication and was supposed to have surgery the next morning. Dr Matthews was out so Dr Novosad was filling in. She suggested that I go home and try to get the hemorrhoids to shrink before surgery using a bunch of home remedy type stuff without the use of any pain medication that is strong enough to help. I called Dr. Novosad to explain, again, the amount of pain that I am in and she said she wouldn’t do anything to help me and suggested that I sit in a warm bath. I went from an ER doctor putting me in the hospital on IV pain medication, and scheduled to have surgery, to Dr Novosad sending me home and asking me to sit in a warm bath. I am in more pain than I have ever felt in my life and she will not help me. Do not go to Dr Novosad unless you want to see a doctor that doesn’t give a damn about how you feel.

When I had my surgery there was no follow-up my bladder stopped working I was in pain had to go to ER.

Dr Novosad is a great doctor and therefore in high demand. That's why people have to wait for her services. It's her right to refuse service just like it's your right to not get a vaccine or patronize businesses that require vaccines or masks or whatever. Rights work both ways. Dr. Novosad had a great bedside manor and is a very respected surgeon in fields beyond her specialty. Sometimes you have to wait for the best.

She refused to do my husband’s colonoscopy unless we got the VACCINE, we told her we weren’t getting one so she told us to find another doctor!! She had been his colon doctor for 9 years!! She’s VERY rude!!!

Here to say these reviews are just silly. She was kind, understanding, patient with all our questions and put us (my brother who is having the surgery) and I at ease. She explained everything and was straight forward about it all. Thank you for your kindness.

The wait times for her are outrageous! First visit I waited over an hour after my appointment time. Then she was almost 2 hours late to my surgery. I then showed up an hour early for my follow up visit and was still waiting 45 minutes after my appointment time just to go back to a room. Has to leave and they never even attempted to reschedule. It seems she has no respect for anyone's time but her own. Just be prepared to set aside a whole day if you are seeing her.

Dr. Novosad was great. Courtney her practice manager however is rude and has no integrity. She said she would call me back multiple times to schedule a procedure and when she finally did. She was rude, unprofessional and kept sighing as she spoke over me. While I would go back to Dr. Novosad again. I will not ever go back as long as this is the way they treat people.

Dr. Novosad helped me get back to a great quality of life. I came to her with fissures that would not heal on their own. We tried a topical medicine first and after a couple of months of no progress, we decided on a surgical procedure. That was 1.5 years ago and they have healed and not come back. She also took the time to educate me on what I can do to help prevent fissures and constipation which is what sometimes can lead to fissures. I am forever grateful to Dr. Novosad!

NUTSHELL: knowledgeable physician, terrible follow-up and follow-through, and I can't for the life of me understand why someone would disregard someone in such pain. Don't expect anything to happen expeditiously, efficiently, or that all of your concerns will be addressed fully. FIRST APPT 8/12/20: I came to Dr. Novasad on a recommendation and I could not be more disappointed. She's a very knowledgeable physician, but is WAY too busy to address your needs in an efficient manner. I waited over two hours past my scheduled time for my appointment, to which I arrived to on time, and there were no apologies from office staff or the doctor herself when they finally called me back. The office staff (Amanda and Larry) were friendly, and continue to be helpful in trying to reach the doctor for my multiple follow-up requests since I had my first appointment. It took multiple phone calls and messages, and more than 2 weeks, but I got on the schedule. FOLLOW-UP APPT 9/2/20: I scheduled a foll
