List of Robert Neal's Reviews
Took my kids to Dr. Neal since they were born until they grew up. He’s excellent and saved 2 of my kids lives.
When my son was 2 years old he got a very terrible flu/croup/ear infection in day care, I saw a total of 3 doctors during two months period, and they gave him all kinds of antibiotics and medicine, and my son got sicker and sicker. These 3 doctor had incredible bed manner, they were "super nice". I was desperate, one of my coworker told me that she also had horrible experiences with pediatricians, and she told me that she found this amazing doctor: Dr. Neal. I took my son, that same day he was rush to the hospital because he was almost losing his right ear for the terrible ear infection. That night he got tubes, in a week my son was brand new. "I got such a respect for Dr. Neal." Therefore, I took my kids to Dr. Neal for 14 years; and yes he is a little eccentric. Now my kids 14 and 11 are too old to see Dr. Neal, I don't care I need a "real doctor": one that is knowledgeable and understand medicine. Our children are very important, their good and care will should be our main priority. Thank you Dr. Neal, you truly are an incredible doctor!
My family has been going to Dr Neal for 25+ years. You won't find better care anywhere in the country
I will not be returning he had white stuff on his mouth and was makeing jokes about my son's concussion and he is 2 years old. then was rolling his eyes when I said my son's neurologist said.my son as extra fluid on brain due to.an abnormal large head which is true made me feel uncomfortable and like he knew it all and told me to quit saying it was hydro which his condition is caused by hydro I called his neurologist asking questions today scared he was wrong diagnosed no gloves on rude person..
Terrible experience. Doctor Neal just kept saying,"he looks real sick," without offering solutions. He rambled on about irrelevant things. He seemed either drunk or extremely fatigued. He mumbled, slurred his speech, and didn't seem to understand our level of concern. He wore no badge and never identified himself when he came in the room. We will not go back to mckinney pediatrics.
Dr neal has an odd personality and mumbles when he talks. I took my son in for a cough and he just downed pharmacitical companys. But then prescrbed my son a strong cough medicine. Also the wait is ridiculous. Didnt see dr till 45 mins after my appt time!!
Poor bedside mannerDoes not listenIn a hurry to get out of the roomWeird personality
Dr Neal treated my son from infancy until he "aged out" of the practice into adulthood. Throughout that time he was ALWAYS caring, thoughtful, attentive and available -- even at midnight when my son had pebbles in his nose in the ER. He always provided a full written explanation of the diagnosis, medications and instructions. His imaginative approach to unusual problems solved some troublesome situations. He is incredibly caring and understanding and my son still thinks of him as a good friend. He never complained about going to the doctor when we saw Dr. Neal. I could not have asked for better care for my only child.
On your first appointment they give the nurse practitioner "NEVER THE DOCTOR", but they charge the insurance under like you saw the main doctor. If they do not want to give a physical because they overbook for the day, they will refuse you does not matter if you had an appointment for a month. You are always treated like a second class citizen by the front desk, and the nurse is the same way.
I have been going to see Dr. Neal since my children were infants - I am thankful for all his effort in helping to keep my children healthy - Dr. Neal has a great deal of knowledge and is willing to share this with those who are willing to listen - I would recommend this doctor - the readers of McKinney voted him as number 1 pediatrician - that has to count for something

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
