List of Govind Patel's Reviews
This place is a puppy mill for patients, with the rudest nurses and staff I have ever encountered. I had to wait an hour and half EVERY time I had an appointment and the doctor spent less than 5 minutes with me every time (I timed them). There is an obvious ego problem here that starts from the top. They are incapable of taking responsibility for their errors and constantly blame others (pharmacies, other offices etc.). The goal is to medicate the patients to get them to shut up- not to heal them. Please do yourself a favor and get a doctor that will see you for more than 3-5 minutes and cares what's wrong with you, listens to you, and doesn't treat you like a number. I know options in Midland are limited but please read these reviews and save yourself.
My husband was hospitalized via the ER a couple of weeks ago. The GI doctor on call performed an endoscopy on him. Well, now he's acting like a junior high little girl and refuses to see my husband. He's been his GI doctor for years and he's going to throw a fit over something like this...it's plain childish and ridiculous!!!! It's sad that someone so educated could act so uneducated...just saying!!!!!
Asked how I was and I said not well, he said tell me so I did, he was very uncaring and wouldn’t even reply to a question I had about the medication he had prescribed for me. I was told by my oncologist and pharmacy I could not take what he prescribed and he knew that and prescribed it anyway.
No exaggeration called office OVER 40 TIMES! Left multiple messages and I am a patient of record! I had diverticulitis and did NOTHING! Finally went to ER and he knew I was there! DID NOTHING!!! I had to go to my gynecologist! Terrible staff, worse doctor!
I was in agony for days with diverticulitis, I never heard from him or saw him and I’m a patient of record. I called his office over 40 times in a two day period, nothing. He doesn’t care, period. Run, hard and fast from this quack.
Love Dr. G!
Seems like a really good doctor! Just wish we could figure out why my symptoms are not easing up. Bout to be 3 months an no answer of what it is. But hopefully he will tell me soon!
He explained everything to me very well with Very attentive very nice and explained everything about the procedure about the colonoscopy
I had an appointment for first thing in the morning, and ended up sitting in the waiting room for over an hour, and the patient room for about 30 minutes. All for the doctor to come in, and spend less than 5 minutes talking with me, not even giving explanations as to what my lab work could mean. Just stated that he wanted MORE lab work done, and I had to go to a separate facility for it! I just ended up wasting half my day, when a PA or something could have just told me over the phone that more lab work would be needed before I schedule an in-office appointment, and have to take an entire day off of work that was completely unnecessary.
I feel he doesn't pay attention to his patients and instead insults his patients. His attitude towards his patients, especially when asking questions seems to get frustrated and that's when he insults his patients. Especially in the body shaming department we don't go to doctor offices to get body shamed we go to get help.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
