I do not know how good the Dr is because I can’t get anyone to return my calls. The one time someone actually answered the phone they immediately hung up.

I have no issues with Dr Hester. In fact I was pleased. However, he prescribed a shot for my hip one week ago. I have tried to call his office numerous times over last few days and left voice mail. To date I have not been favored with a return call. Maybe their phone system is broken? I cannot imagine such poor patient service unless that is the case.

My experience with Dr. Hester was having total knee replacement surgery on my left knee. Dr. Hester was very knowledgeable with this procedure. He took the time to explain everything he was going to do. Answered all my questions. His bed side manner is very professional. He is a caring Dr. and didn't butcher me up. I was up and walking the same day . He has an excellent staff at Midland Memorial Hospital and his office staff at Urgent Orthopedics in Midland. Excellent surgery Doctor Hester.

The truth is that Dr Hester has excellent bedside manner, unfortunately once your in surgery his attitude changes and you are now a paycheck. God forbid that you return with complications of a prior surgery because your no longer a paycheck but a headache for him now. You will be sent to his physical therapy clinic because he draws a check from there so expect lots of trips to there also. I witnessed surgery on a relative of mine and no one in the operating room knew I was related to the patient. It was a very interesting experience to see the attitude change from his office to when the patient can no longer hear. There was no compassion.

As a clinical studnet, I have had the opportunity to watch the prestigious Dr. David Hester work. Not only surgery, but also his examinations in his clinic. Dr. Hester is an honest and kind man who I respect significantly and aspire to one day become just like him: a smart, nice, and caring orthopaedic surgeon.
