List of Gordon Downie's Reviews
They cannot handle proper insurance billing. I never saw the actual DR. I also cancelled second visit because I got a bill for $500.00 when insurance would have covered and this was for the PA SUSAN. DO NO GO, I do NOT RECOMMEND. FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR. a REAL DOCTOR. And they STOPPED my ongoing medication because I CANCELED their Shenanigans.
Dr Downie is a very caring doctor!! But the front desk and the rest I have no words for .. I been suffering not being able to breathe since July 4 2020 an coughing my head off .. I been calling dr Downie office for a whole month now asking for him and front desk been saying the hole time that he isn’t there ?? WHERE is he?????? No I do not want to see his nurse I want to see him .. He always said do not wait when I’m sick like this to come in right then ! WELL someone needs to tell that to the rude front desk people !! I will be sending the doctor a certified letter to my doctor on the actions of his staff if I survive what ever is going on with my breathing .. And I will handle the situation.. Seems like to me it would fall under a specialist not attending too or neglecting a seriously ill patient ... But I really respect my doctor and I really need to see him .. or I hate it but I will have to find another pulmonologist!!
One of the most caring medical offices I have experienced. The front office personnel are attentive, helpful, and very knowledgeable about patients. The staff is excellent, and Dr.s are professional, caring, compassionate, and the cream of pulmonology. You won’t be disappointed in your choice of PA Susan, or Dr. Downie.
My first visit to Dr. Downie was good, that was a year and half ago. No complaints. There after I was put in the care of his PA. They called me to reschedule my Dec. appointment and I told them I was having breathing issues and needed to seer him. They scheduled an xray and blood work the day before seeing him. I went to his office and they asked the usual questions concerning covid. I told them I was having problems breathing and had a slight temp the night before. They told me they could not see me and I had to go to ER to be tested for covid. It was negative and went back to their office and they were closed for lunch. I am sorry people, I will not be back. Their staff needs adjustments!!

I will never recommend him to anyone! My Dad was diagnosed with lung cancer stage 3b in 2014. After going through radiation and chemo it takes a heavy toll on a person's body and soul. The last time I took my Dad to see this man, I left livid. When he walked into the room to see my Dad the first thing he said was, " Oh my God! You look so bad! ". Why on earth would you say this to someone who is dying? My Dad was devastated. My poor Daddy cried all the way home. This doctor's office actually had the nerve to call me a few weeks later to remind me that my Dad had one last appointment and I told the lady she was out of her damn mind if she thought I was bringing my Dad back up there and to never call me again. My Dad never got over that humiliation. He talked about it until he died. Doctors are supposed to be compassionate but this man wasn't. Never, never, never again! If are reading this and are in need of a pulmonary specialist, PLEASE go somewhere else unless you like being humiliated. If you are into humiliation then he is your man.
Very bad ..first desk were terrible . Couldn't help at all..Tryed calling them they would hang up . Don't know if they just didn't want to help or they were just being mean..
Great caring doctor. My father loved him. My father has lung cancer, Dr Downie and Dad made a plan, called in hospice and we worked out the details in a kind and loving manner. Loved Dr Downie.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
