#Urolift completely and permanently destroyed my life !!!! Now I am faced with my new urologist wanting to do another surgery (greenlight) to correct to the botched UROLIFT procedure. I am told I would have to self catheterize everyday possible for the rest of my life. My symptoms now are WORSE than before Urolift. Please be advised and don't say I didn't warn you if you get this procedure !!!!!
I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR!!!! I went to him for blood in my urine. And for a year it was as red as a red pepper. He Never considered cancer which is the first sign with blood in urine. Instead he concentrated on my bladder & with 3 exploratory surgeries & biopsies in trying to figure out why I had blood in my urine. I finally became an advocate for myself & insisted on an ultra sound which he was only including it for the bladder. The technician didn’t understand why he wouldn’t have included the kidney due to my symptoms. She step out & did my kidney as well as bladder & Found my cancer in my kidney. Needless to say I found me a Good doctor for my care. And had to have my kidney removed. But, not soon enough before the cancer had spread. And low & behold he leaves his practice here in Palm Desert & moves to Texas. I’m just now getting well enough to understand how INCOMPETENT this man was to me & my health. I pray this will help someone to consider another doctor.

I am very pleased with Dr. Walsh . He is friendly and listens to his patient . I had the Urolift procedure done and I am very happy with the results . He is very informed with the latest technology in his field . I would recommend this doctor to my family and friends with no hesitation .
What a complete nightmare. The Urolift procedure I had done was the most regrettable decision I have made in my life. Now my condition is worse off than before. My new urologist wants to tdo surgery to try and fix the botched procedure but I am too scared at this point. Please save yourself a lot of misery and heartache and DO NOT get the Urolift !!!
NO NO NO !!! This doctor did the Urolift procedure on me and now I am permanently damaged from it. My new Urologist said I need surgery to fix Dr Walsh's botched procedure. My new doctor wants to do a green light surgery but he said I may have to self catheterize myself daily for the rest of my life or all the scarring will come back. In short the Urolift made my condition worse and I regret ever listening to Dr Walsh talk me into it !!!
The staff is the most unprofessional and unhelpful. I don't know if this is encouraged by the Doctor or if he the cause of it all but I'm leaving the house now to drive up to the office and cancel my in office procedure for two days from now because they DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. I've tried to get a question answered for the last four days and they refuse to answer my concern. Very bad experience.
Dr. Walsh recommended a Urolift to treat my BPH in 2018. The procedure went without incident. I had good results for about 6 month. Now two year later my symptoms are worse than before the procedure. My current urologist stated he would have never recommended a Urolift based on the size of my prostate. I had a follow-up with my current physician today as my quality of life has been diminished since the surgery. He scoped me and pointed out one of the threads from the Urolift had come undone which has complicated my condition. I'll probably need a TURP now which is what I tried to avoid, but the Urolift may complicate this. Note that Dr. Walsh has left California and now practices in Mount Pleasant, TX. Interesting timing!
Dr. Walsh is an outstanding physician, well trained, skilled practitioner of urology; personable, easy to be entreated, caring; his staff is second to none
My life has been permanently ruined by the Urolift procedure performed by this doctor. Faced with another surgery (green light) to try and fix it but told I would have to self catherize the rest of my life or scar tissue will return. My condition is worse now than before the procedure.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
