Dr. Meriwether has always been very helpful and professional. He doesn't hesitate to send you to a specialist if he thinks it's needed.
I understand that covid is scary, but the treatment my mother received today at this office is terrible. My mother was sick with bronchitis about 1 month ago. She was told to quarantine which she did. That two week period is over, but She continued to feel out of breath so she went to the ER. She was diagnosed with level 3 heart failure and told to see her primary care physician, who is Dr. Meriwether, for further steps. She made an appointment. Told them her symptoms. She got back to the room and was told by the nurse she wouldn’t be seen. They kicked her out saying it was a mistake that the appointment was made. Callous. So callous. My mother is scared to death and her Dr. refused to see her and gave her 0 alternatives about what she should do besides going to a clinic- which can’t refer her to a cardiologist or help her with this issue. This seems to be a pattern, as when my father was dying in the hospital he refused to go up there and see him. 0 compassion.

She got back to the room and was told by the nurse she wouldn’t be seen. They kicked her out saying it was a mistake that the appointment was made. Because of her previous bronchitis that may have been covid. Callous. So callous. My mother called another Dr. in town and is being seen rn with no problems.

Perfection
Dr. Meriwither is a skilled doctor and enjoyable to visit.
Dr. Meriwether is an excellent doctor, I have seen him throughout the past 20 years on and off, he is the doctor you go to in order to be diagnosed properly and get you on the correct medication for your problems, he listens, spends an appropriate amount of time with you, I would recommend him to anyone. He see me, my mom, dad, daughter, and brother.
Do not see this doctor if you want to feel better and know what is going on with your health. Always in a rush
I would not recommend this doctor to any one. He rushes into the room and out; he only hears what he wants to hear; he does not try to find out the cause of your symptoms; just orders more meds instead of test.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
