Stephen Sigal's Online Review Report Card

I would recommend Dr. Sigal for anyone with their heart condition. He was very concerned and helped us understand reasons why the heart attach occurred. We think he is very good for Mt. Pleasant and surrounding areas. Thanks for being there in our time of need

I went in not sure what to expect. When Dr.Sigal came in he introduced himself , he was very concerned about what I had to say. I think he took the appropriate steps to make me feel comfortable. I would not be afraid to trust him, if I should ever require surgery. And I'm very picky about who I would allow to do surgery on me or my loved ones. My husband has an appointment with him, and will be getting his echo tomorrow. Set his appointment up very quickly.

I do not recommend this Dr. nor Mount Pleasant, TX Cardiology. My mother was a patient of his in Titus Co. Hospital. In the week and a half that she was inpatient, he only personally saw her twice. His office also did not return any of the calls we made for more information regarding her condition.

I called the Heart & Vascular Center of Titus to make an appointment with Dr. Sekulic, but was told I would need a referral from my husband's PCP. I explained to her that he had no PCP and got most of his care thru the Shreveport VA, but she insisted that she couldn't make him an appointment without a referral. I called our insurance company and had them call his office. The insurance provider told Dr. Sekulic's office personnel that we did NOT need a referral and that Dr. Sekulic was, although we are NOT on an HMO, but a PPO where we can see any dr, specialist included, that we so choose. Dr. Sekulic's receptionist insisted that she would need a referral from the VA (the only dr.s he's seen in years) and also a copy of his medical records! My husband has never SEEN a cardiologist thru VA and has no records that would be of any value to Dr. Sekulic except a list of medications of which I can provide. What is WRONG with people today? My husband is having what we believe to be 'heart related' health problems and they refuse to make him an appointment so that he can get a diagnosis. Am I crazy to think that this is what a doctor DOES? And to add insult to injury, my husband had the new Calcium X-ray of his heart just two weeks ago and Dr. Sekulic was the dr. who read the tests. Why would they not just make my husband an appointment? Why does everything have to be so difficult? Why do we have insurance that allows us to use any dr we choose if we can't get an appointment without a referral (the dr. rule, not our insurance)? And the little peon who told us all this probably has no authority to make these decisions in the first place. Dr. Sekulic's web page says if you are having a health problem, call to make an appointment?????

I arrived with my patient at Dr Sigal office @ 8:45am patient appointment was at 9:30am we had to wait and hour and a half we did not see the Dr until 10:30 they said he was running behind due him running behind no exception they where not professional about the situation

Dr. Sigal's business must be booming.His staff promises results in 7-10 working days and fourteen days later I still have not received my results. When I call for an update his nurse Jenny gets an attitude and treats me like she is doing me a favor by talking with me. Very poor service.
