List of Baylor Scott & White Emergency Hospital Murphy's Reviews
I knew a family member that passed from covid complications. So of course I got super worried when I got hit with it and found it difficult to breathe and all I could think about was my family member's bulging eyes and blue face and lips before he flatlined. I was traumatized because we both shared similar underlying conditions and I thought I was doomed to a same fate. I checked all the boxes for covid symptoms and just wanted some form of treatment like I heard others had received and were just sent back home same day to recover. I also wanted to get tested to confirm if I had it. I am vaccinated and felt that maybe I wouldn't be judged or turned away since I made a conscious effort to protect myself but still got it. Except that I was now experiencing serious complications that raised my concern and just needed medical assistance to get me through it. Instead, I was met by a heavyset nurse with an attitude. I explained my concern and reason for appearing. She pretty much just looked me over and said I wasn't ER qualified and that the doctor would just turn me away with general advice to go home and let it pass. I asked for a covid test and they didn't have any. Eventually, I just walked away and thank goodness CITRA URGENT CARE was there and so kind to treat me and test for covid.I felt like my experience here was enough to avoid this ER location like the plague. Consider other places like Citra Urgent Care or anywhere else just not here because I was very disappointed at the way they handled my case.
I over herd one of the nurses or whatever she is , judging idk if it was me or someone else, for not having a covid vaccination, I think it’s very unprofessional to judge someone in the hospital, they are obviously coming there for help, for you to care, not to be judge , all my other nursers were fine thoe 2 of them were a little aggressive thoe , but I just brushed it off and continued to be nice but this hospital most definitely need more caring healthcare workers instead of ones that act like they don’t want to be there , but I appreciate the ones that cared .
If I could give them less than that I would, please please do not go there, the worst place ever.
wouldn’t recommend this place unless u wanna wait over 2 hours in the waiting room, desk ladies had horrible attitudes. ur better off somewhere else
very nice staff, great service, they helped me when I was in need. I hope I don't need to ever come back, but if I do, I will come pack here!!
Took my brother about one hour ago and I advise the receptionist what we needed help with and she went on to advise we couldn’t not be helped.I asked for her name and told her she was not being really nice so she turned her badge where I could not see it but I believe it is JillianI asked for manger on shift and she just ignored meSo I took her picture and she said that’s illegal.I said illegal is how you are treating peopleYou are neither a doctor or nurse and refusing service.I will hold this person and the hospital liable for any issues with my brothers health.Very unprofessional to say the least.
We took a family member here after she fell. The staff were kind enough to tell us that they did not have an x-ray technologist today. Yes, you read that right: an emergency hospital without an x-ray tech. How is this possible? This is a nice facility, so far as I can tell. The staff were nice (though they did not come to the vehicle to help me get her into the ED).Go down the road to Baylor Scott & White Emergency Center. We've been there twice and had good, kind care. They helped my family member get out of the car and into the wheelchair.
My daughter’s doctor sent her here for X-ray. The nurse at the front desk was quite rude. Please know that your tone and attitude are important when you are in a medical or service industry.
Went to the ER yesterday morning after throwing up every 5-10 minutes from 10:30pm-4:30am. I was extremely dehydrated and weak and needed fluids. No one was at the front desk when we arrived and no one in the waiting room. Shortly after the front desk employee showed up and seemed like it was a bother to have to work. I filled out my paper work and within 15 minutes was called back. Everything seemed normal and they took my vitals, asked what was going on with me and shortly after the doctor came in. The issue starts after this. He said he would administer an IV as he could tell I was very dehydrated and most likely had food poisoning. The tech came in, took my blood, and placed the needle for the IV fluids. I then proceeded to wait nearly 45 minutes where no one came back to check on me or bring me the fluids. It seemed that figuring out lunch was more important. Heard Wendy’s was the option for the day. I finally got out of bed and walked out of the room to ask if they would be bringing the fluids. The tech said “ma’am you have an IV in.” I said no, I’m not hooked up to anything.” They all seemed confused and had to ask the doctor if he ordered fluids for me. Now wouldn’t it be obvious that he did if you went through the act of taping the needle in my arm?! Who knows how long I would have been alone and waiting had I not walked out looking for assistance. Overall the hospital facility is nice, the doctor was nice, but the nursing staff and support staff were total jokes. Will never go back.
Worse hospital ever. Woman in front are Worthless and it’s inhuman. my baby is 1 month old he was sick had fever. And he wouldn’t stop crying. I was waiting there for 2 hours the woman in front keep staring at us and didn’t do anything. I ask the woman and she said we will call you.. Baylor do something to make the hospital better and to give better service to the patients.please people deserves a better treatment.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
