Went in for ACL and torn maniscus. Did my PT still not right. After nearly a year of PT knee was swollen and hurting again. Overturf ordered MRI wanted to operate again on what he said was a torn maniscus. I had a second opinion from a wonderful Doctor in Houston. I found that there was nothing wrong with my maniscus but some scar tissue from my surgery with Overturf. This was normal. Actually maniscus had healed quite well. The problem was that during my ACL repair it had been placed to loose and to far back. Tried more PT to avoid yet another surgery but now I'm facing two surgeries. One surgery to correct Overturfs ACL surgery. I will have bone grafts to fix his mistakes and fill in the holes and tunneling on my misplaced ACL and clean up the mess. I will have to heal for four weeks and then have a second surgery on my ACL to place it in the correct position. Three surgeries in two years. I'm thankful I got a second opinion or it would have been 4 surgeries. Please get a second opinion. I'm very young and my life will never be the same again. I've lost two years of my young life and will never be able to do all the things I love again. The sports I loved to play will never be played again.

Do not recommend horrible results after surgery had to have two more surgeries to fix his and was misdiagnosed

This man..I can only say good things..had knee surgery on a Friday an I thought I was going to die my Monday, went back to see him Monday afternoon an he drained it an by that night I was up walking an doing almost normal things. This is the man..the man with the plan..Thank you dr.Overturf.
