I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. LaStrap and her entire staff. My daughters and I have all been patients of hers, and every visit reminds us why we trust her so much with our care. Dr. LaStrap is kind, compassionate, and genuinely cares about her patients. She never makes you feel rushed, takes the time to listen to concerns, thoroughly explains everything, and ensures you feel comfortable and informed before leaving. Her knowledge and bedside manner are exceptional, and she treats every patient with respect and understanding. The staff is equally amazing—friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. From scheduling appointments to checking in and out, everyone goes above and beyond to make the experience positive and stress-free. It’s rare to find a physician and team who consistently provide such outstanding care. We are incredibly grateful to have found Dr. LaStrap and and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a provider who truly puts her patients first.

My issues were never answered and dismissed of my monthly cramps, and I’m billed a year later after the receptionist had told me it has already went through my insurance which I do NOT have to pay yet I’m being billed a year later so thanks for the fraudulent charges and scamming me.

My heart aches to do this but I had regular annual mammograms which includes 11/2024 and 11/25 as always, called back for new views due to suspicious abnormalities, asked to complete a sonogram with suspension then asked to get with Gynecologist for care plan. November, December, January and beginning of February (I had to be emotional with tears and have a fit to get a response) SO, FINALLY a second step biopsy 3/19/26 took forever to get approval appointment When positive results were reported immediately 3/23/26 I didn’t hear anything so called for results 3/27/26 to solis I was informed GYN has been notified 3/23/26, called GYN 3/27/26, was informed results have not been read to that day so disappointing then was thrown away quickly to an oncologist which I did not need right away I needed a breast surgeon first. Been with Lastrap for quite a few years and this is the respect and care I get so disappointed and feel so disrespected and uncared for all this time. Her nurse assistant is disrespectful as well pretends to be professional and kind and is not (if I had questions she would “sigh” with frustration you could hear it) I could hear it this is disappointing can’t believe it. I didn’t want to do this but this is my life and my health which took six months to get to a resolution (TOO LONG) I trusted and Loved Lastrap but I was thrown like a fish out of water with no help I will never trust her again nor recommend her to ANYONE. I am really in tears about this situation

This review has been a long time coming, for sure. In 1996, I was young and pregnant. I remember how scared I was and Dr. LaStrap did nothing to calm those fears. I remember feeling dismissed and punished throughout my care. I developed gestational diabetes in the final trimester but there was no direction given about it- and I gained almost 70 pounds in the last two months. She shamed me about the weight gain but certainly never addressed the cause. It turns out I had a significant heart defect as well she completely missed. I remember to this day her telling me I had the worst stretch marks she had ever seen. That certainly stayed with 18 year old me. I remember being induced and left to labor alone, being denied pain meds, and laboring for 36 hours. My water was forcibly broken, and still no meds. A nurse told me my doctor had specifically refused me any pain meds because she felt it would teach me a lesson. I remember forceps were used to remove my daughter. I remember tearing and screaming and I remember the comments, the looks, the judgement, and the dismissal to this day, at almost 50 years old. I have had five beautiful children, and my first daughter now has two beautiful sons. My birth experience with LaStrap was humiliating, traumatizing, and unnecessarily and dangerously long and painful. I would not recommend her to anyone for anything. Hopefully she grew out of teaching people lessons, because I will certainly remember the hate and fear she instilled in me. I have since learned to advocate for myself and call out such unethical behavior. Perhaps she has changed- it has been 30 years. But I remember and I want her to know I remember.

Dr. Lastrop is an incredible doctor! In all my years I've never had an obgyn that was so educational. During my visit she taught me things I didn't know were possible to learn, she listened to every concern, and even made things so personable. I left my visit feeling like I knew her as a person and not just a doctor. The entire staff were incredibly nice. I would recommend her to anyone.

I had my first visit with this practice 2 days ago, and I can say this was the nicest, sweetest, and most professional staff I’ve come across in my 52 years. I went in for hormone treatments, and was treated so well, I felt like I had known them for years. Not only the Dr , but the staff were also very informative regarding my condition. I would highly recommend this Dr to anyone who wants to be heard, and treated like a human being in their time of need. Absolutely wonderful experience- thank you!! Lisa Williams

This doctor is a Blessing to me

Dr. LaStrap has been my doctor since I was pregnant with my son who is now 19. She is very informative, listens to my concerns, and explains treatment. She has supported any decisions I have made over the years, and has always made me feel comfortable. Her staff and nurses are nice, professional,, accommodating, and thorough. I highly recommend Dr. LaStrap. Love her!

Dr Lastrap is the first doctor that I’ve seen since being back from over seas. Dr Lastrap was very upfront with me and helped me with my women’s well. Also talk to me about other issues that I am experiencing now that I’m up in age. She was very friendly , polite, and generous. What I love the most is, I felt the presence of God And we talked about being pure. I recommend this office very highly and staff were wonderful. Every time I call even though I don’t know exactly what the issue may be staff and Dr Lastrap take they’re Time to listen and pull up what information . I have not had a bad experience And that’s what I look for in my healthcare.
