List of David J. De La Garza's Reviews
Dr. De la Garza was the ortho on call when I had a car wreck in 2016, he operated on my arm, he has done a total hip replacement, and is going to do the other hip next month. No her does not spend a lot of time with patients, I do understand how busy he is. I am an RN and have had a lot of experience with other physician. He is one of the best at what he does, personality has nothing to do with great care.
I am 73 yrs old. I have a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. This Dr. treated me as though I was brain dead. He is arrogant! Not good with patients. I expressed the treatment I had previously for my knees. He ignored me. Arthritis meds were of no help! Returning to my Dallas Ortho Dr.
I think Dr. David De La Garza is an excellent doctor. I broke my ankle 7 years ago, he did surgery and it healed great, I also broke my arm earlier this year and I could not have received better care. I could not say anything but good about him. It is my opinion that he is the best orthopedic doctor in this area!
Went in for thumb release surgery. Went very well. Doctor very knowledgeable and very friendly. Would recommend him.
I would give you a zero if I could. I will now explain why. My mother had pins put in her ankle a few years ago by your office. She continued to see this you for the whole time after because you were her permanent Dr. This Dr. did not remove these pins from my mothers ankle. The pins remained there for years. This year my mothers ankle became infected and enlarged. She went to her new DR. and they had them removed. Apparently these pins should have came out a long time ago and Dr. David J. La Garza neglected doing it. My mother is now having a hard time walking.
Rushed in and out. I went intending to schedule surgery and wanted some basic info. He refused to give me any confirmation this would be a good choice, just said your decision. Yes, it was my decision but his opinion was important and he refused to say anything. The next time I went in, and each time thereafter and without prompting, he reminded me that I had not taken his advice to opt for surgery! Really? Talk about CYA. Picking up my records and heading to Dallas tomorrow.
Very thoughtful of your concerns and follows up afterwards
I went to Dr De La Garza several years ago for planter faciatis in one of my heels. My wife is an RN, and recently had the same problem. She checked my symptoms and made the diagnosis, recommending that I receive a cartosone shot directly in the heel. Upon examing me, the doctor said he would have a MRI done. I told even though my insurance was good, I would prefer to only have the shot. The crappy answer from the Dr, was that I knew more about medicine than he did. He did give a shot and then quickly left the examining room. My heel was bleeding and he did not even give me a cotton ball or anything else to clean the wound. The shot did not help. Went back in two months and I had the same procedure done by another Dr in the practice . Instant relief and I have not had any more problems. I would never go to this Dr again.
Dr. De la Garza knows what he is doing. I went to him for a 2nd opinion from another doctor in Dallas. He found something the other didn't. I am very glad I was referred to him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
