Joi Findley Smith's Online Review Report Card

My husband and I started coming to Kelsey about 2 yes now when our Dr retired.I needed a Gynecologist and found Dr Joi Findley- Smith and Im glad I did.She is caring,kind,thourough and just the sweetest.She talks to you and not just for a few minutes like other dr's do.She wants you to ask questions so she can answer them.If I could give more than 5 stars I would😊👍

I don't trust her because she acts like she is far superior than others. IDK why she was acting the way she was but my experience was quite unpleasant.

Today was my first day visiting her at Kelsey-Seybold. The only reason I am giving a four star is because the scheduling call center placed me on a schedule that isn’t visible by the doctors staff they listed me as a procedure when I was only there for a general office visit never did I mention a procedure to the scheduling dept. Causing for me to be sitting in the waiting area longer than expected. Once I asked the receptionist to look and see how far behind the doctor was cause it was already 30 minutes past my appt. She called the nurses and they checked and saw that I was placed on a different schedule and not theirs they quickly corrected this problem and apologized for the wait and the mistake from the scheduling dept. The place is very nice and clean and the staff was very nice and professional. Dr. Findley Smith was very kind and listened to all my concerns. I will definitely be seeing her again if needed in the future.

I will start by saying that for anything other than a birth, I have no problem recommending her. Once you get to know her she can be very funny and personable. If you feel that you did not receive a good explanation of something, just push back and ask for more detail and she will give it. However due to my birth experience with her I do not intend to ever use her services again. My experience: At times she presented things as black and white, and with no explanation. This was my first child, so I did my research. There were several things that she said to me that I had to push back on because I had found a different answer, or I needed a better explanation. This happened on a few occasions and my family advised me to change doctors. I should have listened, because later in my pregnancy she started pressuring me to have an unnecessary c-section due to my baby measuring large. I know it was unnecessary because 1) research, but 2) she flat out said “oh, sometimes if they’re busy they’ll send you back home since this c-section isn’t really considered necessary. So let’s hope that doesn’t happen” ?!?! Why are you trying to force me to schedule an unnecessary c-section that I have repeatedly told you I do not want?! This was even more irksome to me because I had told her at my very first appointment that my family has large babies. It’s genetics; but everyone in my family has given birth naturally. If she had even mentioned a c-section at that point in my pregnancy I would have found a new doctor, but she waited until my last trimester to bring it up. In the end I ended up with a very traumatic birth experience that I think would have been less traumatic if I had felt supported by her at all. I stayed because she and I had some personable conversations in the beginning and her office staff was friendly and I did not want to go through the hassle of changing doctors after being with her for several appointments just because I had to press her for clearer explanations (the reason my family told me to switch). I sorely regret that decision.

Para mi Joi Findley-Smith es la mejor Médico Ginecóloga que existe. Es humana, sufre contigo, se alegra contigo, te da la mejores explicaciones. Es la médica más humana que he conocido. No tengo palabras para agradecer las excelentes atenciones recibidas por ella. Tuve dos partos y un legrado, y siempre recibí el mejor trato de ella y de su equipo de trabajo. Cristal, Esmeralda, Mary, Bruk, Excelentes enfermeras. Extraño la clínica. La mejor de todas. For me Joi Findley-Smith is the best Gynecologist there is. It is human, it suffers with you, it rejoices with you, it gives you the best explanations. She is the most humane doctor he knows. I have no words to thank the excellent attention received by her. I had two deliveries and a curettage, and I always received the best treatment from her and her team. Crystal, Emerald, Mary, Bruk, Excellent Nurses. I miss the clinic. The best of all.

Absolutely love this doctor! I drive 2hrs to see her. She listens to every concern you have. Very good bedside manners. She did my hysterectomy 4 years ago, and I felt better the next day. My insurance changed at my job, and they dont accept my new insurance now. But I still pay out of pocket to see her. Cause shes the best!

She puts in extra effort, which makes me feel both comforted and worried about her getting enough sleep. She has been very knowledgeable, experienced and delivers news (good or bad) in a way that suits me. I think all doctors should be like her. Even her nurses seem to put in extra effort, she has a great team!

I liked Dr. Findley-Smith very much. She took interest and listened to my concerns. I have searched for a GYN for a while now, and I am glad to have found the right GYN for me. It is my opinion that she cares very much for her patients. I will be back as her patient in future.

Dr.findley Smith is the best OB-GYN doctor! She makes you feel comfortable and is very easy to talk to.
