Worst dr. I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Went in for a rotator cuff injury dr. Didnt even spend more then 2 min checking me. Gives no education about injurys and has a lack of caring. Waste of time and money. Google informed me more about my injury then this dr. He says 1 stance gets up and walks out. Smh
If I could leave ZERO stars, I would. DO NOT go to Dr. Lipscomb. When I visited him concerning my persistent knee pain following TWO ACL surgeries that HE performed, he didn't even remember doing the surgeries (he didn't even bother to look at my file before he entered the room), AND he didn't even spend 90 seconds with me before he turned his back and walked out of the room, completely ignoring my concerns. He is not a specialist, he is USELESS. Don't waste your time with him.
I spent a year and a half looking for a Dr I trusted to work on my shoulder. He took time to get to know me before ever asking about my shoulder injury. Tore my labrum in three places, and he fixed it up good as new. With his skill and guidance, I made a quick, full recovery.
Dr. Lipscomb is without a doubt, the most professional and finest surgeon that I know of. I had two severe complete tears to my rotator -cuff and an employer who wanted me back to work the day after surgery. Dr. Lipscomb advised me that I was his priority and that when we both felt I was ready to return to work, only then I would I go back. The scars were barely visible (four tiny incisions) and my progress, with therapy, is going better than anyone anticipated. I couldn't be more pleased with a doctor than I am with Dr. Lipscomb and highly recommend him.
Dr. Lipscomb has been my physician for nine years. He is caring and conservative about treatment. Doc treats his patients as he would treat a friend. Being an old athlete, I have had two procedures with Dr. Lipscomb and with each, follow up has been very complete. I highly recommend Dr. Lipscomb.
I shattered the head of the radial bone in my elbow, in 1999 (took it out in 12 pieces) I am so greatful Dr. Lipscomb was on call at the hospital when i went in. I have been told by more than 1 Dr, that I am very fortunate to have the use that I do. It doesnt swivel like it used to...lol. The proffesional and friendliness of Dr. Lipscomb is unbilievable. I had back surgery in 2009 the first person I called was Dr Lipscomb for a second opinion. Unfortunatly, he doesnt do backs. But that is how much faith I had in his ability.
I took the recommendation of a friend to get a second opinion from Dr. Lipscomb regarding a clavicle break. One of my concerns was that the original Dr. wanted me to work my surgery around his vacation schedule which would have delayed it for another 30 days. My shoulder was totally collapsed. Dr. Lipscomb REVISED his holiday schedule to get me in ASAP! The results are beautiful; one could hardly tell I had a procedure done. He gave great advice on minimizing scaring. Efficient, friendly staff is a reflection of his quality as well. I realize every case is different, but I could not have been more pleased with the care he gave and how my situation worked out.
Dr Lipscomb was thorough in his examination of my elbow and performed the surgery exactly as planned. Followup was beautiful and I can barely see my scar. He was adamant about my therapy and I have full usage of my arm because he wouldnn't settle for less than he felt I needed!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
