Memorial Hermann Pearland Hospital's Online Review Report Card

Have received excellent care for 13 months. I can be a demanding patient, but they always take care of me.

I have been to this hospital with my mother over 3times over the last months. I would say our stay was Great from the staff on the floors on down to the kitchen. Helena in the cafeteria is the best . She made sure everything was on point for me and my family and customer service was great.. i would recommend memorial Hermann Pearland to everyone. Thanks To everyone There !!!

Came into the ER around 9 PM with my elderly father, who was actively vomiting. After about 20 minutes, he was taken into triage. His heart rate was low and his blood glucose was over 250. He was then taken to a room and we were told to wait in the lobby and that someone would come get us shortly. Nobody came. My mother eventually asked, and we were told to walk ourselves to his room. My father was semi-aware of his surroundings and unable to effectively advocate for himself in his condition. Once we got to the room, he told me he had informed the nurse that he could not tolerate oral medication because his presenting complaint was nausea and vomiting. He was given oral medication anyway and promptly vomited it back up. I informed the nurse, and her response was, "Oh well, we gave him some in his IV." By 12:30 AM, we had been sitting in the room for hours with no update, no plan of care, and no idea whether he was being admitted or discharged. When I finally asked for an update, a provider came in. She was professional and helpful, but it was the first meaningful communication we had received all night. When she asked whether my father was still dizzy, he explained that he was, especially since he had vomited the oral anti-nausea medication. She then asked whether the nurse knew he had vomited it. We told her yes. Her response was, "That's strange. We normally don't give PO medications if the patient is actively vomiting. I'll get him a dose right now." That interaction was extremely concerning. The nurse knew the medication had been vomited, knew the patient was still symptomatic, and yet no follow-up occurred until a provider happened to discover the issue hours later. The wait itself is not what bothered me most. Emergency departments get busy. What concerned me was the lack of communication, lack of follow-up, and apparent lack of urgency regarding an elderly patient who was actively vomiting and unable to advocate for himself. Nobody seemed to think there was a problem, and that's what concerns me the most.

I am giving only three stars because of my experience with Dr. Moore. I was taken to the ER at 3:00 AM with severe stomach pain and was in tears. Unfortunately, Dr. Moore did not seem interested in listening to my symptoms. He ordered a CT scan but did not consider an ultrasound to further investigate what might be causing my pain. I felt that he had a very dismissive, “don’t care” attitude. In my opinion, doctors should be good listeners and show compassion and empathy toward their patients. Because my pain continued, I had to return to the ER again. This time, I was hoping and praying that Dr. Moore would not be my doctor. Fortunately, I was treated by Dr. Angelina Vishnyakova. She is a perfect example of how a doctor should be. She was compassionate, caring, and attentive. To me, she was truly an angel. All of my stars go to her for her kindness and professionalism. I sincerely wish more doctors were like Dr. Vishnyakova. Thank you, Dr. Angelina. One concern I had was the wait time after my ultrasound. It took nearly four hours for the results to be read, which felt excessively long for an emergency department. I would also like to recognize the morning-shift medical assistant who inserted my IV. I wish I knew her name so I could thank her personally. She did an excellent job, especially compared to the male nurse on the night shift, who made several unsuccessful attempts and left bruises on my hands. Thank you again to Dr. Angelina, the medical assistant, and the ultrasound technician for their professionalism and clear instructions. Overall, my expectations for an emergency hospital such as Memorial Hermann were not met, and this experience has lowered my confidence in the level of care I expected to receive.

I went in a few days ago and it was pretty fast in and out. I was in pain they told me that I had a dental pain and they diagnosed with me TMJ Disorder. Come to find out I went to another hospital and was told that I have a double ear infection and infection in the mouth and I should have been on antibiotics. Memorial Hermann y’all’ let me down. I will not be coming back nor anybody in my family. Yall making Harris Health Hospitals looking like a better hospital.

i love how they treat patients so well and are always caring and kind for patients. i just got home from memorial hermann houston and they did so well on my baby sister. ill be looking forward to seeing yall soon!!

Was admitted to the ER here and spent many days in this hospital while an amazing team of doctors, nurses, nurse assistants and charge nurses took amazing care of me. All and I mean all of my nurses were amazing. Betty Jean 🥲😇💗, Shelby 🙏, Rhonda 🪽 Sarah, Emy, Phillip, Tatiana 💪 Summer 🙌 Jazmine ,Ribia , Odette , Mary, Kayleigh 🫣🩷, MaryAnn 💉🩸, Emily, Candace, my wound care expert Justin 🧔‍♂️😃 Dr Bender calm collected and straight forward, and my amazing surgeon Dr. Alawadi ,and anyone I might be leaving out I'm sorry. The amazing crew I had pre op surgery, a crew of 3 very close nurses who had me cracking up and feeling comfortable and at ease before going under anesthesia, wAll of these RNs, PCAs, and charge nurses, even a CFO came and talked to me. The entire med/surg3 crew on the 3rd floor of the North tower. They made my 8 day stay here as comfortable and pleasant as possible. They were patient and answered any and all questions I had, even hypotheticals. They gave me exceptional care. My room was bigger than it had any right to be. They listened to me and didn't judge me. Betty Jean especially is a angel she listened and sympathized and related to me and went out of her way to look things up for me so I could hit the ground running when I went home and just all around was an incredible human being. I'm so thankful for all these amazing healers and experts. Don't hesitate to go here if you need help. Check your self into the ER if you are sick or hurt. Just go, let them do what they are all amazing at. 5/5 would write Daisy nominations for all of them (and I will just gimme time lol)

It took me years to write this, but in December 2022, I visited this hospital because I was leaking fluid while pregnant. However, it turned out to be amniotic fluid. I was examined and diagnosed with an infection, and I was prescribed medication for it. Despite the fact that I didn’t hear a heartbeat on the monitor during any of the three attempts they made to check on my baby, the doctors assured me that the baby was fine. They sent me home with a prescription for an infection, making me believe that everything was under control. I flew to another city for the holidays, thinking all I had to do was take the medication. Just three days later, I went to the bathroom and felt a pulling sensation coming from the back of my vaginal area. I was in pain while using the bathroom. I had miscarried. The doctors should have performed an ultrasound, which they did not, and they neglected to take proper care of me. I will never recommend this hospital for any type of pregnancy care. I will never forget the pain they caused me and the lack of diligence they showed in ensuring that everything was okay before I left this hospital.

THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!!!!! WHY IS IT STILL OPEN????? *******STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOSPITAL*******

DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO DIE!!!! THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS!!! THEY'RE TOO BUSY TALKING TO EACH OTHER, OR ON THEIR PHONES!!!!!!
