List of Ut Health Pittsburg 2701 Highway's Reviews
My kid was seen in ER in February. After insurance I owed about 4k. I’ve been paying about $500/month on bill. UT Health sent me to collections on the remaining balance of $400…which would have been paid in full this month! Really UT?? I’m paying my bill and you send me to collections?? I’m not saying UT is chicken s—t but they sure have henhouse ways!! Now my credit sucks! Thank you so much for being awesome UT!!
They always have it together at the front desk in Pittsburg as well as the lab. Props to Kaylee and Tina at the front desk and Sandy and the lab. Great follow up and all very friendly.
I was triaged quickly, but the lady, who I think was the doctor because she told me what the diagnosis was, but was there for maybe a minute, did not introduce herself. Never listened to my lungs, looked in my mouth, ears, nose, etc. I had pneumonia. Never saw the lady again, took an hour and a half after CT scan for the nurse to come in with release papers and take IV out. The radiology people were really nice. First nurse was nice the second (shift change I guess) wasn't.
The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. They worked together to make the experience a success.
15 June update: I received a call today from UT Pittsburg, more than two weeks after my initial review was posted. Today, I was informed they "overlooked" two CT orders when my initial CT was conducted. Before leaving, I specifically asked if three CTs were completed and I was told yes. Today, I was asked when I wanted to come in to have these tests completed. This oversight will likely delay surgery that is scheduled for Friday. This is incompetence and, based on my experiences at UT Pittsburg, I have no confidence in seeking medical care for myself or my loved ones from this facility. I was beyond disappointed with the level of care I received on Friday, 26 May. There was no attempt made by any staff member involved in my care to minimize unnecessary needle sticks. I was scheduled for a CT scan, which required contrast. An IV was necessary, which was fine and I had no problem with. However, instead of inserting an IV and obtaining blood from the IV start, I was stuck three times and a 10ml syringe was filled with blood for a simple creatinine level. (The creatinine level from a CMP collected on Thursday, resulted on Friday, was rejected by UT.) The veins that I pointed out that were good veins on my hands and forearm were ignored and instead it took three attempts to get blood (after digging with the needle each time) from a deep antecubital vein. When it was time for the CT scan, I was stuck an additional three times (with digging each time) without success. Staff suggested I consider returning the following week and have the procedure again. By this time, I had already been poked six times, which is inexcusable. Finally, an ultrasound was used to start an IV, which was (thankfully) successful. NO patient should be stuck seven times in less than 45 minutes. When an IV is needed for a procedure, start it at the beginning and spare your patient from unnecessary needle sticks (and pain). The only two reasons this is not a one-star review is because: 1) the CT was read quickly; and 2) the check in process was quick and efficient. Paul Cline MSN, RN-BC

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
