I was so glad when my insurance dropped him. He is a terrible person. Talked to his patients like trash. I know this will be deleted because he deletes bad reviews. Also trumps up charges. Suggested I get this sonogram in his office. I asked if it was covered by insurance and he said 100 %. Then I received a $ 400 charge because the insurance said it was unnecessary. Which it was I had no symptoms of gallstones. Please avoid at all cost. Literally yelled at me during a hospital visit. Unethical doctor.

Worst experience of my life. He talked to me other patients like trash. I was so glad my insurance dropped him. He needs to be put out of business. Also trumps up charges. He told me I didn’t really need the sonogram but as a precautionary measure to have it. I asked if insurance covered it and he said it would be 100 % covered. Nope I received a $ 400 bill because the insurance said it was unnecessary. Showed up late to the hospital one time. Best decision was never going back to his office.

I started coming here in January of 2021, Dr. Barnes and his team of ladies are fantastic. They really get to know each and every one of their patients. Dr. Barnes is very straight to the point of how to get to where you want to be and will help formulate the best plan to reach your goal. I had my surgery 1 year ago and have lost 113 lbs ( starting at 277) and could not be more happy with my results. They really do provide you with all of the tools you will need to succeed in the process and dont rush straight to surgery without going through all the steps and checks. From metabolic testing to, psychological evaluation, a heart stress test, and were within an affordable range even though my insurance didnt cover anything. I would highly recommend Dr. Barnes and his wonderful team.

Dr Barnes and staff are truly the best. They offer the best service before and after surgery. My husband and I both had revisions within a few days of each other. Highly recommend!

If you are interested in permanent organ damage and enjoy loaning money to medical practices, this is your place. After my surgery, the practice placed me on a treatment protocol mega dosing calcium supplements. These calcium supplements ultimately led to permanent kidney damage as well as a continually declining kidney function. To date, I have had four surgeries on my kidneys and have at least two more surgeries in my future. By the grace of God, my sister is an organ donor match and is going to provide me with a kidney when needed. Even though I have really good insurance coverage, Barnes Bariatric insisted on collecting from me up front almost as if I were a cash only patient. Their over collecting has resulted in a significant credit balance with the practice. Said credit balance is now over six months old and I see no hope of getting my money back any time soon. Again, if you are interested in permanent organ damage and enjoy loaning money to medical practices, this is your place.

Dr. Barnes to me is the “Bariatric whisper). He’s absolutely amazing and genuinely cares. Dr. Barnes ordered blood work and found other things that needed correction before my revision. I was beyond pleased. The ENTIRE staff is phenomenal! I feel we’re family now 🏽. If you’re looking for a Bariatric doctor who’s going to tell you like it is. Please see Dr. Barnes. Amazing doctor with amazing staff! He performed a very complicated procedure for me (which was a revision of a revision that was not done properly by a different doctor). He is straightforward and honest and he is not quick to jump to get you under the knife until he knows you are prepared. I interacted with several doctors and nurses at the hospital, both before and at the time of surgery, and all spoke very highly of Dr Barnes and thought he was the best. You will not regret meeting Dr Barnes!
