List of Brian Long's Reviews
When I was told I needed surgery, I was very nervous about it. Coming from New York City, I had the advantage of having it done at any of the premier hospitals in the region. After interviewing with several doctors, I wasn’t happy with the rushed and impersonal interaction I had with them. My daughter, who resides in Dallas, suggested I go to the Nicholson Clinic. I cannot say enough about the great care that I received there. My surgery was performed by Drs. Long and Roshek. These surgeons are top notch, and I had total confidence in them. Their warm and wonderful bedside manner immediately put me at ease. I was treated like a person and not just a number. All of my many questions were thoroughly answered as well as having the whole surgical procedure explained to me in depth. My surgery was immediately scheduled. I underwent laparoscopic gallbladder removal with four tiny incisions. I was sent home the same day. My recovery has been a breeze, and one week later I am back to my usual routine. I am very grateful for Drs. Long and Roshek and will always remember how they took what was a very stressful time in my life and helped me through it with ease. Thank you Drs. Long and Roshek for taking such good care of me. Added bonus- they are definitely easy on the eyes!

Dr. Long did not perform the closing of my surgery correctly, which caused my lungs to feel up with fluid. The amount of fluid in my lungs caused me to go I to lung failure.
Dr. Long was incredible ! He described the surgery in detail. He didn’t hurry through my questions. He was very easy to talk to. I would def recommend him.
Dr Long changed my life. I'm so glad I found him before he left DC. He was knowledgable and competent with a kind and patient bedside manner.
Dr. Long did my bypass surgery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 2004. I have been his patient for the past 11 1/2 years until his move to Texas in July 2015. Dr. Long is a trusted surgeon with a wealth of experience and knowledge of weight loss surgeries. He is also shows a great deal of compassion with his patients and wants to see you achieve optimal results. It was a great loss to me personally when he left Sibley Hospital.
One of the best.....
I went to about 4 or 5 information sessions at different hospitals before I decided on Dr. Long. I couldn't have found a better doctor. I am about 4 years post op and still successful. If you are morbidly obese make an appointment today!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
