David Masel's Online Review Report Card

I have been in severe lower back pain for years with spinal stenosis. I was put into contact with Dr. Masel. Dr. Masel was the best! I had my surgery in August 2021. I am no pain free thanks to this fabulous surgeon!!!

The best doctor !!! He did my back on 2003 and now I snow board, skate , dance and leave a normal life.

As an Occupational Therapist who has been suffering with a degenerative lumbar spine for 37 years, with no prior surgeries, I was apprehensive in taking the "step" in repairing my ailing spine. As an O.T., my specialty has been the spine, & I have seen plenty of poor surgical outcomes, especially when it comes to spinal fusions. I had an L5-S1 fusion, L4 laminectomy, and a synovial cyst removal. The surgery went perfectly, and the Dr. showed up in person in my hospital room the very next day to check on me. I was discharged the day after surgery, stopped pain meds on day 4, & I am recovering at a rate that is beyond all expectations. I would highly recommend Dr. Masel, and his staff for any and all neurosurgical procedures, especially when it comes to a complex surgery such as a spinal fusion. It's rare to find a group of caring professionals in the healthcare world we live in, such as Dr. Masel and his staff.

Was late to my surgery 2.5 hours Forgot to write prescription for pain meds after surgery. Was a no show for post op appt. Had to reschedule three times. I finally had the nurse go ahead and take out my staples. Office had no idea when he would show up each time he was a no show. I waited 2 hours the first time and over an hour the 2nd. I waited 30 mins the last time and then had the nurse to take out my staples. This Dr did a great surgery the first time I had surgery but this was my 2nd surgery with him and even his staff did not know what was going on with him.

He saved my life many years ago when he operated my spine.

Dr. Masel is a very experienced Neurosurgeon. I have had two very successful surgeries performed by him, nine years apart. He removed a brain tumor from my sister and as of now, she has been determined to be Cancer free. He is well respected by other Physicians and staff that work with him and have worked with him in the past. I travel a long distance to see him as I know the trip is well worth following up a treatment plan with him.

Service and knowledge is outstanding! I come in from out-of-town knowing Dr. Masel is one of the best Neurosurgeons. He has preformed two surgeries on me with outstanding results...

His staff is very efficient and caring! Jessica handles all the details promptly and professionally. Dr. Masel is a fantastic surgeon! I love this office it was well worth the travel.
