List of Hca Healthcare's Reviews
I gave birth to my first baby on May 2021. This hospital is the best I have been ever. The place is extra clean very organized. The staff is super great and the nurses are AMAZING They treated us so good. I felt I was in a 5 start hotel. They gave us anything we need it from blankets and pillows to pampers and little bag of presents to take home with us. I was really impressed with the attention and quick response from all the team of nurses and doctors. Also the security for the baby and making sure the baby is with you at all times is very great. For my next one I will definitely go back here. With my Dr. Heather Bellanger the best ☺☺
This is the worse hospital I have been to. I was sent here from another hospital because they had a specialist I needed to see. They have come to my room asking for a different patient 3 times. A Dr. has not come to my room for 4 days after my surgery. The lack of communication is utterly ridiculous. Do not go to a Medical City hospital if you can help it
On November 1st my wife was assaulted by a security guard working for HSS Anthony Badge didn’t state last name. He came into my wife’s dad’s room being very hostile towards her dad a patient at this hospital telling him he needs to be more respectful and aggravating him. During this my wife and I stepped in between Anthony and the bed so couldn’t get to her dad. At that point he kept egging her dad on over my wife’s shoulder then shoved my wife trying to get to her dad we kept asking him to leave the room and when we finally got Anthony out of the room we asked for his supervisor which he didn’t want to call and went on to tell my wife she should’ve been raised better. All in all Anthony doesn’t deserve to work security for any company as he acted very hostile and tried to instill fear into us by coming into my father in law’s room with so much negativity and hostility if anything he should’ve came to descalate the situation but he did the opposite and escalated it to something that could’ve been avoided
Almost everyone in the ER and inside was really nice and actually very kind for hospital people. It would have been better for me and staff to not have to go days without a working TV but it was very peaceful. Got lots of rest Ate well I felt assured that I was in good vigilant hands prepared in case I took a turn for the worst.
I fell off a ladder in the garage and had to crawl into the house to call for help. I could not get off the ground because of the pain in my hips. When I fell I had a small bump on my head.In the emergency room my head had a CT scan done and my hips xrayed. The emergency room doctor saw no problems and said he was sending me home. I said I was unable to stand and in a great deal of pain. He asked me if I wanted to be admitted to the hospital and I said obviously I need to do something and I can’t go home. So I was admitted.Once in the hospital the doctor assigned to me found that my blood pressure was very low. It normally does run low but was lower than that even. So I was not given pain medication because it would lower my blood pressure. And I was required every four hours to have my blood pressure measured laying down sitting and standing up.I entered the emergency room on a Thursday afternoon around 5 o’clock. It wasn’t until Sunday afternoon that they finally did a CT scan on my hips and found that I had two bones broken in my pelvis. They finally started giving me some pain medication but for three days I was still in a great deal of pain having to sit and stand for blood pressure readings. They needed to transfer me to a rehabilitation hospital for physical therapy. But they forget to contact the transfer company until late and they couldn’t find any available transportation. So they asked me if I could have somebody come pick me up and take me to the rehab hospital. I was unable to move very well due to my broken pelvis so that was not an option. They finally arranged transportation. However the nurses were good and some were even great.
Terrible I have stitches all the way down my face and I have ran out of pain meds and I’ve called this place 50 times and not one answer my surgeons office told me to call hospital to and they will not answer
Was in Labor Delivery for 5 days the nurses were awesome Somer Kristi we’re amazing as well as the other 10 nurses that rotated with me over the days. I’m so glad I delivered at Medical City Plano
I was admitted to this hospital for a surgical procedure on Friday October 29th at 10am. I ended up leaving on Sunday around noon when I was admitted i gave them the list of medications I was taking at home and told them I was a diabetic. Since I was admitted on Friday till I was discharged on Sunday they did not give a single dose of my medicine I kept telling the nurses but they kept on saying “we dont have them in our system” or “the doctor did give us any orders yet”. This were medicines that I was already taking my PCP prescribed them to me not the Doctor who did my surgery. How are you not going to give a diabetic any insulin? While I was there they checked my blood once and they still didn’t give me insulin event though I was at 210. These nurses should be ashamed of themselves I know right now because of the pandemic they are on the high note but these nurses should not feel proud of their work and take credit from other nurses that DO their work.
My 84 yearold father went there after a fall. They discovered he had high blood pressure diabetes and Covid. He was very weak to begin with and ended up dying after 5 days. The care seemed exceptional. What confused me was the itemized bill. There were prescriptions on it that were over $20K a day there were brain scans and some arthritis medicine that was about $4k per day. My dad didnt have arthritis or a brain problem. Im not in the medical profession but after seeing the itemized bill I have to wonder if an elderly weak dying person alone in a covid unit with no family around presents a moneygrabbing opportunity. In the end the insurance contract rates were a tiny tiny fraction of the bill.My dad was double insured so nothing was due but god help someone in this situation who is cashpay. If you are you should probably scrutinize the care choices and also negotiate the costs.
Overall we had a really good stay at Medical City Plano for the birth of our baby. Our time in labor and delivery went well and we really enjoyed the care we received from Karen and D’Angelique. I ended up needing an emergency csection due to fetal distress and labor not progressing quickly enough but D and the other nursesdoctors made sure we understood what was happening and kept us informed along the way. We also had a pretty good stay overall in postpartum recovery. We loved working with Hannah Destiny Edith and Kiya. There bedside manner really made us feel comfortable asking questions and they always gave helpful feedback. Edith and the lactation consultants really made a huge difference in helping start out the learning process of breastfeeding. Without them I’m not sure we would have found our rhythm and they helped immensely with learning about proper latching and other helpful tips. Thank you to all the nurses and doctors that we worked with along the way I would recommend MCP to any of my friends or family who may have babies in the future.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
