Dr Tompkins and his entire staff where absolutely amazing!! Everyone was so nice, friendly, and reassuring. From the first time I visited his office I left feeling secure. Dr Tompkins operated on me for a herniated disc. I was very nervous about having back surgery. He did exactly what he said he was going to do and made my anxiety go away. I was only out of work for 3 weeks! Talk about a speedy recovery. I was very impressed with his practice. Big thanks to Dr. Tompkins and his whole staff!

Dr. Tompkins is a wonderful doctor. He made sure my mom understood all the procedures.

I visited 4 Spine Surgeons before deciding on Dr. Tompkins. He is straightforward, to the point and explains things so patients are able to understand. If you want someone who jokes around, he isn't for you. But, if you want someone who knows what he is doing and takes your spine seriously, then visit Dr. Tompkins.

I was given Dr. Tompkins' name by my mother's doctor. She told me he was a good neurosurgeon. I was looking for a new neurosurgeon (NS) because my original NS left the DFW area and moved to Lubbock.Due to my diagnosis of Benign Intracranial Hypertension (IH) and a shunt being placed into my brain, I need to have a NS that I can see if a problem arises. After visiting with Dr. Tompkins, I felt that he had an understanding of IH and knew what treatments are available and useful.Dr. Tompkins has performed two very different surgeries on my. In 2014, he performed a C5/C6 fusion which was very successful. In 2016, he performed a revision on the shunt I had placed in 2008 by the NS who moved to Lubbock. After analyzing several scans of my brain, he concluded that the tubing placed in my brain wasn't originally placed correctly. My shunt was working, just not working efficiently. He revised that surgery by placing the tube into my brain using a map of my brain to precisely guide it to the correct location. This surgery was 100% successful.His office staff is always helpful. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Tompkins. I have recommended him to several people who also suffer with IH.

Very little wait time and a warm and friendly office staff. A provider who makes thorough examinations and allows the patient to ask as many questions as necessary. Upon leaving the office there is a feeling of calm and assurance that ALL will be well. I have been well pleased with ALL interactions throughout my time as a patient.

Dr. Thompkins did my surgery around 2011 or 12 and I haven't had any problems every since. I haven't even been back to him since. A wonderful Dr. The best in my book

I have found Dr. Tompkins and his team to be up front and honest, a man who gave me the utmost care when I had a ruptured brain aneurysm that he successfully clipped.
