A CT scan showed large mucinous masses attached to my ovaries and I underwent surgery by an oncologist who specializes in ovarian cancer to remove them. During surgery it was discovered that the cancer had started in my appendix, requiing a specialist in rare cancers such as PMP which I was diagnosed with. I was lucky enough to find Dr. Roy-Chowdhury who practices very close to me and is highly specialized in rare cancers such as mine. Upon meeting her I knew I was in capable hands. She explained everything clearly, thoroughly and gently. It was a long, complicated surgery: CRS followed by HIPEC. I have nothing but praise for her also after the surgery. She was there checking up on me showing great concern for my many days in ICU, making sure any decisions they made went through her first. I have followed up with her on several occasions since then and she always answers our questions thoroughly and professionally.

Dr. Sharmila Roy Chowdhury is the best. We have never had a Dr. that has been so open, caring, personable and responsive to our needs. Her attention to my husband has been remarkable and she has always been available for any help or questions that we have. My husband and I feel she was the best surgeon he could have had for the whipple surgery. We can not say enough good about her. We are very appreciative and blessed that she showed up in his hospital room shortly after his diagnosis. Thank you Dr Roy Chowdhury

I was diagnosed with cancer in 2019. I had 2 needle biopsies that could not get enough tissue to determine my type of cancer. I was referred to Dr. Chowdhury. She was a blessing. She explained everything she would be doing in detail and answered all our questions. She totally put us at ease. She has a great beside manner and personality. She even recommended an Oncologist who turned out to be a blessing as well. She was able to get the tissue samples needed to tell what type of cancer I had so I could get started on chemo. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Chowdhury. I recommend her to anyone who is facing uncertainty and needs a caring dr.

Dr. Sharmila Chowdhury was recommended to me by my gastroenterologist because potentially cancer causing polyps were found during my last colonoscopy. I immediately called Dr. Chowdhury and she scheduled me for an outpatient procedure. Thanks to Dr. Chowdhury, she removed all the area of this polyp and relieved my mind about this disease. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Chowdhury. She is a good listener. She helps you understand the diagnosis and how she will solve the problem. I highly recommend Dr. Chowdhury for your procedure.

There are so many things i can say about Dr Roy Chowdhury. She is a great doctor and i would recommend her to anyone. 2018 was a hard year finding out i had cancer and because of her i am almost 3 years cancer free. Her staff is friendly and helpful.
