List of Supriya Thirunarayanan's Reviews
I have been seeing Dr. Thirunarayanan since July of 2020. I am so glad I was connected with her she is a great and caring neurologist. I am very happy with her entire staff.
I went to see Dr Thiru for a specific reason at the request of another physician. She spent the entire visit asking me about headaches, which was NOT the reason I was there. As she was leaving the room, I had to call her back and tell her AGAIN why I was there. She acted a bit perturbed and went through only a brief, cursory exam but did not address my problem. She sent prescriptions to my pharmacy for headaches after I explained that not only did I not need them, I was allergic to the medication and was told by 3 physicians not to take it. I also took previous test results for her to copy. She walked out of the room with them and kept them. Had to call medical records to get them back. She may be a good neurologist, but her listening skills and patient social skills need work. I will not be returning to her.
After I made my appointment I received a telephone call. The caller, who barely spoke English, told me I must report 30 minutes early to fill out forms unavailable online. I am at enhanced risk of Covid-19 and this is unacceptable. I was also told my copay is double that of what it actually is. I cancelled, don't go here!
No one wants an EMG. They are painful. Dr. Thirunarayanan was very careful to minimize pain and quickly did the procedure. She was very efficient, caring and sympathetic.
Not taking enough Covid19 precautions. Tried to insist my copay was more than double what it actually was. Steer clear.
Gross staff incompetence. Not taking Covid19 precautions.
Absolutely terrible. Called the office after a seven-day headache and was told they would check with the doc. Called my PCP, who sent in a script for a migraine medicine (NOT a controlled medication) that helped that same day. Got a call back from Dr. Thirunarayanan's office THREE DAYS LATER saying, "Go to the ER." Been trying to get them to handle a pre-authorization for Emgality for a month with no calls back, no updates. I keep calling and having leave messages.
I have a very difficult time reaching the doctor. I have called 3 times to tell her the medication that was subscribed was causing problems. I have not had a response.
The entire staff is great, starting with the nurse. Jennifer is nice, caring, and compassionate. Dr. Thiru takes time to explain things. I am able to understand everything done
I have found Dr. Thiru to be one of the finest and thorough Neurologists in the overall Sallas area. She was recommended to me by my general practitioner at Village Health Partners and I am thankful for that recommendation. She has been very supportive of me with my mental cognitive disorder and depression, and I have found that the medications she has advised me on have been very helpful. When I had problems with a drug therapy that made me have night terrors, she immediately took me off that therapy and found something I was more comfortable with. Her bedside manner made me very comfortable, and her medical assistant was very pleasant and reassuring to be with. I would recommend Dr. Thiru to anyone with neurological disorders as I found her especially competent and endearing!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
