I am sorry I have to say this. I do not recommend cook children’s or Dr. Anani to anyone. To cook children, I would give a one rating and to the doctor, I would give a 2. Cook children’s is only after your money and will cheat you to get that and will not even admit it. Went through all that with cook children’s. Dr. Anani, dint solve the issue. Ordered lot of tests, dint follow up with us after test results and just said will do endoscopy on the child next. He dint even speak or explain things to the patient or parent. I am disappointed and going to a different GI for our issue after spending $1000 or more at this place.

Coming from the perspective of my child (the patient) I was admitted to the hospital recently and wasn’t getting a stable form of nutrition. Dr Anani came in at bedside and when I brought up my idea of a picc line, in a laughing voice said “we are not doing a picc.” And he didn’t even try to explain why even though it was clear I was misinformed. He then brought up the NJ tube which is something I’ve always been afraid of. When I explained I trusted my primary providers thoughts, he said “well I only just met you and that hurts my feelings” then I was mid panic attack when I said “I need everyone to leave the room” he then said in a condescending way “ can you ask me nicely.” My mom escorted him out of the room and I was very upset. Then he came back and said he wanted to do an endoscopy to “ try to find things” and to place the NJ tube, only to be told two days after that he didn’t actually want to do the scope and he just wanted to place the NJ. He lied to our faces and was mean. He is a pediatrician talking to a child like this, not okay whatsoever.

He gave me a second appointment to refer me to a specialist, which he did not do. I explained to him that this was precisely the reason for my visit and he got upset. Dr. Anani even told me that my daughter wasn't dying and I didn't need to take her to the ER. I want to clarify that I never mentioned ER.

Dr Anani is such a wonderful, caring and amazing doctor!!! I highly recommend him. More doctors should treat their patients the way he does. Thanks Dr. Anani!!!

Dr Anani is the BEST!!!! So friendly, nice, and caring and answered all our questions. My daughter doesn’t open up much to her doctors about her symptoms but she was able to with Dr Anani. He made her feel at ease. He even checked on her between appointments to make sure she was doing okay. Hands down the best Doctor.
