My husband went through a detox with Dr Chen. The medical part was ok but the doctor should have offered real counseling and support in conjunction with the detox. Unfortunately this doctor also chose to push his religious beliefs including trying multiple times to get me to say that my husband is my master, which I refused to do. He later told my husband to come to his church and the doctor would find him "a good wife" Apparently this doctor believes that women should be servants/slaves!!

He used to be good. He was very understanding and concerned about helping people truly living with pain find a better quality of life all while not going overboard. He didn’t just throw scripts at you. He made sure to find a realistic treatment. But with current scrutiny because of people who simply abuse pain medications, not only are others like me with true diagnosed life changing pain being dropped and uncared for, Dr Chen is so scared he not only stops giving meds, he offers addiction meds!

I've been a patient of Dr.Chen for over 10 years. He is the best doctor I have ever seen. He is very compassionate, caring,and understanding. Appointments at his office are always a pleasant experience.

Dr. Chen is an incredibly caring pain management physician. I have been to many doctors that just wanted to shove more pills down my throat for my back and hip pain, but Dr. Chen is the only one that actually cares about me and my pain by trying other methods. I'm moving to South Texas soon but I will continue to use Dr. Chen even with the four hour drive. He's phenomenal. Highly recommended!

Do NOT see this doctor. He just wants to further his ministry and cares nothing about patients. Staff is terrible. REQUIRES prayer.
