Jacqueline Co's Online Review Report Card

I've been a patient of Dr. Co's for several years. She is thorough and compassionate and they have dogs in the lobby!

Dr. Co as rushed, abrupt, and spent very little time with me. She was ready to book me for surgery without discussing anything. I came away with an uneasy feeling and chose another dr for my surgery.

My experience with Dr. Ko is that she is a brilliant ophthalmologist and surgeon. Admittedly, she can be quick, even perhaps sometimes terse, to explain simple or common procedures. Imagine perhaps asking Michelangelo how to paint a house. That said, my experience is that if you ask her to slow down, she is happy to explain things to you, and you get the counsel of the woman whom other ophthalmologists turn to when they have questions. I consider us lucky to have such a capable surgeon here in the Dallas suburbs. If you need the best of the best, go to Dr. Ko.

2 doctors: one rude and inept, the other helpful and successful.... After a failed eye appointment with Dr. Jacqueline Co, I read some reviews about her. The first review was scathing, and to my surprise the reviewer described exactly the same terrible service I encountered... Dr. Co was brisk, rude, and she completely missed a simple diagnosis. She conducted the visit in a loud aggressive voice, and could not wait to get out the door... For unknown reasons Dr. Co came in thinking I was there for cataract surgery. - I had told her assistant I had pain and swelling. I had said nothing to anyone about cataracts. - Dr. Co made a cursory observation of my eye and declared that I had extra skin which needed to be surgically removed... more surgery... She described it as "benign". She gave it a name which I did not understand. When I asked her to write it down, she refused! On her way out the door she shouted "There is nothing to write down. When you are ready to have the surgery make an appointment". Her behavior was shocking and disappointing to say the least... My Dr. #2 was normal. She quickly diagnosed a "stye" which is very common and simple! Dr.#2 prescribed medication and outlined a simple treatment. The condition is so common she had a brochure describing it. This is in contrast to Dr. Co's "benign extra skin" and the prescribed surgical procedure. Do not waste your time and money on Dr. Co.

On the plus side, the staff speak Chinese and Spanish. However, they are not even polite and haven't learned the basics of office and telephone protocol. They've been very impatient with my son. Dr. Co tends to spend a total of 3 minutes with me.

Dr Co is the rudest and worst ophthalmology specialist. DO NOT COME HERE! Don’t even try to talk to her or ask her questions. She will just tell you to google whatever questions you have.

This was the worst experience I had by far. Dr. Co was not a friendly person. She gave me an attitude when I asked more questions and told me to GOOGLE if I want to understand better. It was clear she wanted to move onto other patients while I was running through my questions. Her professional behavior was the final breaking point, I will never return to her office again. I would recommend not seeing Dr. Co if you wish to have a good Ophthalmologist experience and service.

Dr. Co is the rudest human being I have ever encounter in any professional office. She rudely cuts off any questions I have. She treated me like I’m an unintelligent person when I dared to ask questions. RUDE! Lack compassion! The worst bedside manner for a doctor! Do not go to her!
