List of Spine Team Texas's Reviews
I have the privilege of being under the care of Dr. Wilkins. What sets him apart is his exceptional ability to communicate thoroughly and honestly about my spinal issues. He takes the time to explain my condition in a way that I can easily understand, ensuring that I feel fully informed about my treatment options. I always feel heard and seen as an individual with Dr. Wilkins. I recently had an epidural injection for my back pain performed by Dr. Wilkins, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. His expertise and precision during the procedure were evident, and he ensured that I was comfortable and well-informed every step of the way. I can confidently say that I have the utmost trust in his care and would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone seeking exceptional spinal healthcare.
Dr. Wilkins and his staff are spectacular. Dr. Wilkins does a very good job communicating with me about my injury and the treatment steps that we are taking. The office staff is excellent, friendly, and attentive.
Dr. Wilkins is very easy to talk to. He really is amazing!!
Unfortunately, I did not experience the kind of care that others have posted about. Instead I received harassing phone calls, a call to my emergency contact when it was claimed I didn't return a call (though I did and proved it). I was sent for a pre-qualifying shot that cost me, literally to walk through the door, $3,815.00 and that's with a PPO insurance policy. I was told that I wouldn't need surgery. I was prescribed a nerve study (that would cost $498 out of pocket) that when asked, I was told the outcome would not change the course of how the doctor wanted to move forward. That was my last appointment with Spine Team Texas. That day when I canceled the nerve study, I was told that if I wasn't happy with the 1st shot, I'm not going to be happy to hear I have to do another pre-qualifying shot before I get the real shot. I was told that I could go to 5 other back and neck doctors and they will tell me the same thing. Guess what? I went to a neurosurgeon today. I have my referral for the real shot in my lower back and neck. Oh, and I was told that I will 100% need surgery on both my lower back and neck. All in all, I feel like I wasted months of my life going to Spine Team Texas and I know I wasted a lot of money. P.S. The 1 star is only because it wouldn't allow me to post this review without giving at least 1 star.
Just one word: Excellent
Unfortunately, I did not experience the kind of care that others have posted about. Instead I received harassing phone calls, a call to my emergency contact when it was claimed that I didn't return a call (though I did and proved it). As a result, I had to revoke consent to contact my emergency contact and only allowed communication with my primary. I was sent for a pre-qualifying shot that cost me, literally to walk through the door, $3,815.00 and that's with a PPO insurance policy. I was told that I wouldn't need surgery. I was prescribed a nerve study (that would cost $498 out of pocket) that when asked, I was told the outcome would not change regardless of the results of the nerve study. HMMM, why take a test that costs $498 out of pocket that doesn't change the way I would've been treated? That was my last appointment with Spine Team Texas, Richardson. That day when I canceled the nerve study, I was told that if I didn't like the 1st pre-qualifying shot, I'm not going to be happy to hear I have to do another before I get the real shot. I was told that I could go to 5 other back and neck doctors and they will all tell me the same thing. Guess what? I went to see a neurosurgeon. I have my referral for the real shot in my lower back and neck. Oh, and I was told that I will 100% need surgery on both areas as well. All in all, I feel as though I wasted months of my life going to Spine Team Texas, Richardson and I know for a fact I wasted well over $5,000. I'm grateful I took the doctor's advice and went to see another doctor. PS. The only reason there is 1 star is because I needed to add it in order to post this review.
From the first phone call to checkout, everyone on Dr. Wilkins’ care team was very kind and professional. Sad to say, that is a rare thing in clinics these days. Dr. Wilkins himself was thorough and very personable. He engaged in conversation and never made me feel rushed out of the room. He even took my appointment on a Friday afternoon, which was amazing. So far my experience has been great and I would happily refer anyone I know to Dr. Wilkins and his staff. 👏
Like this location. Highly recommended
Was in and out in less than 30 minutes...I was early to the appointment and went back and started almost immediately. Great place and people!!!
Check in ahead of time on the portal was a breeze. Check in at the office was a breeze. I was seen promptly, couteously and professionally by all staff memberrs with whom I interacted. Dr Wilkins is kind, compassionate, knowledgable, and has a great sense of humor

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
