I was diagnosed with dry eye disease two years ago while temporarily living in Texas; I have now relocated back to California and I have yet to find there a doctor equal or better than Dr. Chan to treat my condition. I still travel back and forth to see her since she is the only one that has been able to properly address my problem in addition to make feel safe and well care for; I highly recommend her.

Dr. Chan was professional, calming, and unhurried in listening and answering all of my questions ahead of cataract surgery. She took time to explain my various options and built a deep sense of trust and reassurance. Her presence in the surgery, and her team there, was just phenomenal. The results are stunning and life-changing, and I am so grateful to have been in Dr. Chan’s care.

I am very impressed with Dr. Annie Chan’s care, to the point that I have chosen to remain under her care despite the fact that I live in California and my insurance won’t cover her services. (She is considered out-of-network for me.) She is very personable and responds not just to the issue, but to the specific patient – a dramatic change from the experience I had in California at a renowned university ophthalmology center. Rather than their ‘one size fits all’ policy, she tailors the treatments to the unique needs of her patients, which made me feel truly understood with respect to my disease. I have dry eye disease and couldn’t be more pleased with her care, and I am sure that she is just as competent in all the other ophthalmology fields.

I was referred to Dr. Chan for a cornea issue. I’m so thankful we have a specialist like Dr. Chan in Austin who has additional training and expertise. Dr. Chan has also been an excellent physician. Her instructions and explanations are very clear and I feel she truly wants the best outcomes for patients.

Dr Chan and staff was very polite and professional about my eye surgery. They always explained everything and made sure that I understood the procedures. I wished the time that I had to wait was less but maybe that can’t be helped. I would and will recommend Dr Chan and staff to all my friends.
