List of Maria Cooper Scranton's Reviews
Dr Scranton has treated both of our girls wonderfully she remembers them and treats us with the best care we could ask for. I don’t feel dumb asking questions even if they might seem dumb to me lol
Dr. Scranton is wonderful with our son who is on the Autism Spectrum and has a healthy fear of doctors. She is incredibly patient and kind to him and is great with us. We just had a second baby and Dr. Scranton is also his pediatrician and she is wonderful with him too. I actually do not like the reception staff at this clinic so much that I have thought of changing doctors, but I keep coming back because Dr. Scranton is so fantastic to work with.
My son has a skin infection. He positive for staff in the infection. He has finished the antibiotics and the infection is still present. I need a phone call to her and she didn't call back for a day. Seems unconcerned and said to wait a week. The toe is still sleeping and staff is very dangerous. I will not be taking her advice I will seek another doctor's advice
If your child has an unusual illness, DO NOT see Dr. Maria Scranton. Our daughter was diagnosed by UT Children's Hospital by the best doctors in the field in Houston recently with POTS and dysautonomia. She went through rigorous, specialized testing to ensure this condition is what she has. We took our daughter to Dr. Scranton for a sore throat, and informed Dr. Scranton of our daughter's condition. She decided to have her nurse test her orthostatic blood pressure and pulse, then determined she does not have it and the condition is from her home life. She spent 10 minutes with our daughter and never met her or us before. Our daughter is a straight A student and is in all Pre-AP classes and is in Gifted and Talented. She's a happy, well-adjusted, normal teen. This doctor suddenly decided that she is a licensed cardiologist and neurologist (these are the two specialties that can diagnose her condition) She is a pediatrician/family medicine doctor and is NOT qualified to make any other assertions or undermine diagnoses specialists make. No doctor should be able to tear down and dismiss anyone when he/she has no medical background in a specialty or have any family information. It caused our daughter trauma and is very offensive.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
