List of MIchael Putney's Reviews
As an existing patient I sign up for a TeleMed appointment with Dr. Putney. (I manage 3 Zoom Pro accounts, so it's easy for me to work with.) I needed maybe 15 minutes of his time on an existing issue. I am informed that I should get a Zoom link 20-30 minutes before the appointment. That is the extent of instruction I am given. A red flag goes up that it seems a tight time frame for allowing patients to set up and run a Zoom telecon for users who may or may not have a clue what they are doing. But, they are the provider, so I just do what I am told.I start checking email for the Zoom link 30 minutes before the appointment. Nothing. Nine minutes before the appointment I call, am stuck on hold for about 5 minutes. A staff member picks up and I tell them I have not yet got a Zoom link. They say they will "re-send" it. In 5 minutes i get the link. This belies the fact that they never sent the link to begin with, or typo'ed the address or the like, and didn't bother to check with the patient who was obviously waiting for the appointment.I log in to the link and start waiting. I make a genuine effort to be a great customer (patients ARE customers, and medical practice is indeed a competitive environment). One hour and 15 minutes I run out of patience (I am kind of proud of myself for being THAT patient) . While still logged into Zoom, I call the scheduler and voice my irritation in firm but respectful tones, apologizing if I might be overbearing. The Scheduler commiserates, having has similar experiences herself. She calls around to ask what to do because I asked what I should do. She comes back with no answer, though with another apology.I still am unsure what to do as a patient. I suppose I will give it one more try, but I certainly have other options for orthopedic care providers...
I have torn both knees 2 times each. The first Doctor I had to see at Concentra was a joke. They said I had only sprained my knee and I pleaded for an MRI. They sent me to therapy. Said I didn’t need therapy. I went to see Dr Putney and within minutes he recognized I had some damage. He set me up for the MRI. I had torn both Meniscus and dislocated my knee cap.I have had to have more surgeries since do to in no part Dr Putney. I highly recommend him and his PA Terry. I have been a scub tech at one time and know good and bad surgeons and Dr Putney is an excellent one.
i could not recommend Michael and Terry highly enough. a REAL breath of fresh air for honesty and service.THANK YOU!!!!
This man is so amazing I have had 2 replacement done through him in 2019 and 2020 I’m glad God directed him to me I have recommended him to people and I’m just over joyed how mu surgeries went and he has an AWESOME staff as well KUDOS to him
I've never been more annoyed with a facility. The inefficiency of this office to do their job is unbelievable.
My experience with Dr. Putney was fantastic. He used the Superpath procedure to replace my left hip and the results were amazing. I found him to be professional and willing to listen.
Dr.Putney is awesome! I had a radial year of my left meniscus down to the root from a car accident, plus a grade 2 MCL sprang. Dr. Putney repair the tear and did some clean up work on the MCL sprang and my old age. He was always professional and to the point. I appreciate the direct approach Dr. Putney and Terry, his assistant took with my surgery and care. If you are looking for someone to coddle you...he might not be the guy for you. But, if you are looking for an amazing surgeon, he is definitely the man for the job.
Dr. Putney has been my surgeon for more than 16 years. He has replaced both of my knees, fixed my shoulder and he has also been the doctor for my family with excellent results. I highly recommend him!
Welcoming front office staff, great x-ray technicians and Terry was extremely informative and caring. I haven't been to an medical visit where I've left happy in quite some time. They took great care of me--would recommend to anyone.
The office didn't submit the required documentation (X-ray) to my insurance for approval. The office didn't return many of my calls, calls from my insurance company and calls from my rep. I am 45 days out from my accident and they wanted me to wait another 45 days, wouldn't do a peer to peer with my insurance company. Which my insurance said they would approve a MRI if they would. I paid out of pocket at another place to have an MRI to find out from my new doctor, only 3 days later (including Easter weekend) that I have a complete ACL tear, partial MCL tear and patella chondromalacia. Dr. Putney's office has a lack of concern, lack of communication, lack of professionalism (not doing what is required by insurance that they are contracted with). Now I will have to appeal to their office to get reimbursed, which I have zero expectations that they will return my call or submit the correct paperwork! Please see a different doctor to save yourself from frustration and unnecessary extended pain

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
