Had an MRI done and my doctor never bothered to call me about it! Waited around for a month with a broken back. Avoid this office and seek a medical consultation somewhere else
Had MRI was referred. Dr Rumi never bothered to show me or discuss my MRI with me. Go to Physical Therapy and see if the pain stops. The consult was under 5 mins. Medical Industrial Complex widget style, assembly line. Seriously, the worst.
He really didn't explain exactly what he thought the problem could be, just ordered x-rays and MRI. I've called twice, left messages and my calls were never returned. Will listen to what he has to say and then find another dr.
Dr Rumi has no "patient side manner" and does not like his recommendations questioned by insurance companies! Rather than fighting for the patient and helping them get the proper treatment, he allows months to pass before he decides he just doesn't care enough to appeal the decision with insurance companies. By far the WORST experience I have ever had with a DR, scheduling and an insurance department that isn't quite sure how to submit their paperwork properly and timely enough to avoid delays or submit required documents.
The PAs didn’t seem to listen or care. I called a few days later to over 72 hours to return a call after I switched to a new Ortho.
apparently I was told we were just wasting his time. After an out patient surgery turned into a 24 day hospital stay. ICU stay and a pulmonary embolism. I took my husband in because he was feeling a great deal of pain and was advised to see the surgeon who had performed the surgery. Only to find out he was just a waste of his time.
When I got to my appointment, I was told that he was in surgery and I would have to reschedule. Never got to see the doctor but will not go back because of the staff. They could have let me know. I showed the young lady at the desk my phone which clearly showed that there was NO message.
We waited 2 weeks to see him. Our visit lasted less than 10 minutes. The only option for my husband’s sever pain in his left leg was physical therapy following meeting with a pain management doctor. After pt we are to make an appointment with his pa. We were basically dismissed. I was hoping for more because I talked to people who liked him.
Dr. Rumi is so knowledgeable and kind. He never made me feel rushed and always explained and answer my questions. So happy with the results so far. His staff has been very attentive and helpful. Surgery at St. David’s Round Rock was a good experience.
So far, after working with Dr. Rumi for a year, I have appreciated his conservative approach to trying all other available options (PT, Pain Management, injections) prior to recommending surgery. He is a matter of fact, and cordial, but obviously takes his job as a doctor seriously and his patient's health seriously. He will not tell you what you want to hear, but will tell you the truth, which is refreshing. He has always maintained professional boundaries and is very thorough. Surgery soon.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
