List of Round Rock Pediatrics's Reviews
Dr. Brown was my pediatrician from the time I was an infant until I was an older teen. I remember her as a compassionate, steadfast professional. I'm 34 now so that I still remember her should be a testament to the kind of lasting impact she has on the many families she serves and has served for decades. If you're looking for the best, look no further.
DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE! She was our pediatrician from the time my first child was born, 21 years ago and she saw all 4 of our children. The first issue we always had hour+ long waits. She likes to stack vaccinations. So if we got behind, she would want to give the child 5+ at a time. We always had a problem with her over prescribing medication. Anything we went in for, we would get at least 3 prescriptions. We didn't always fill all of them, feeling it was way too much. We were close to the last straw when my youngest inhaled a lot of dust and became very stuffed up. She was 2 at the time. I took her in and was told she had the flu, without a positive flu test, and she was prescribed Tamiflu. Since then we realized she naturally has bad allergies, like my oldest. To this day I DO NOT believe she had the flu. I have always felt like Dr. Brown prescribes for profit. After being with her for 18 years, we lost our insurance. I called her office to find out if we could get a cash rate with her and was told no. I would have to pay the same rate, but they would put me on a payment plan. It's $200 just to walk through the door, then charges for everything else that happens during the visit. We found someone else after that. It's now been a couple of years since we have taken our kids to her. My oldest teen now has depression and had been seeing a therapist for 4 months. We were trying to use natural medication like CBD and St.Johns Wort. It became clear that it wasn't working and I discussed with her therapist getting a prescription, which she said was a good idea. My daughter had thoughts of suicide, but had not attempted it. We talked to a doctor about getting a prescription and he recommended taking her to her pediatrician since she had a long history working with her. Though we did not really want to take her there, I did anyway. THIS WAS THE WORST CHOICE I HAVE EVER MADE FOR MY CHILD. Dr. Brown had her fill out a little form then came in freaking out saying I needed to take her to a psychiatric ward right away. She went to call Dell Children's, but because she had us waiting an hour before seeing us (with NO other patients in the office), it was 5:00 pm and no one was available at Dell childrens. I argued with her that we do not have insurance and could not afford a huge bill from a place like that AND that my daughter had been talking to a therapist for months and she NEVER said she needed psychiatric help. All I wanted was for her to give my daughter an antidepressant and she would go back to seeing a psychotherapist (because they can't prescribe medication). We were in the process of finding another one since my daughters schedule just changed and she couldn't sync up with hers. She agreed to give her the medication on the condition that I bring her back once a week for her to monitor and we get the therapist. I agreed and made an appointment for the next week. That night we filled the med and my daughter started taking it. That was Wednesday evening. Friday morning her nurse called me, asked if we got the med and if my daughter was taking it; I said yes. She asked if we made a therapy appointment and I told her I was still talking to them. She asked if I wanted her to send me some names and I said yes. She sent me a list of names then they called CPS and reported me for medical neglect!!!!!! I absolutely couldn't believe it. Nor could the police that came to our house. Nor could the CPS agent that is now involved. Bernadette Brown DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR CHILDREN. Her only concern, as she voiced it during our visit, was covering herself for any liability. Stay as far away from this office as you can. Every negative review you read about this woman is 100% correct. Find a doctor that actually cares about your children and is willing to work with you when they are sick or you have financial difficulties. They are out there and this doctor is NOT one of them.
BEWARE!! DONT GO!! SAVE YOUR CHILD AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Dr. Brown has got to be the worst doctor I have ever had to deal with. Unfortunately we have used her for all our kids as they grew up. She is SUPER RUDE, she will scold you if you don’t do what she wants you to do, which is WAY OVERSUBSCRIBE medications for your little ones. She will flat out tell you your a bad parent and even go as far as call CPS on you if you don’t follow her instructions. She has proven over and over that all she cares about is her ego and her money.
We love love Dr. Brown! Has been my daughter’s pediatrician for almost a year now and she is definitely very honest and knowledgeable. I love she always give us great tips for our daughter well being. A year ago we were struggling to figure out why my daughter was speech delay (also delayed in motor skills I wasn’t really aware of, we are first time parents). During our first visit to Dr. Brown she was able to diagnose her correctly, even had us visit a neurologist to confirm diagnosis. And since then, we been in therapy and my daughter has been improving amazingly!! So Dr. Brown is truly my hero. The office is nice and her staff very friendly and professional. I recommend her to anyone’s kids. This doctor has a lot of experience :) This is her 3 pediatrician (we moved quite a bit), but so far she is my favorite! I also, love how easy her office make it for us to schedule her appointments, follow up and check ups!

I would NEVER bring my kids here! If you want 4 prescriptions for a cold then by all means, this is the place for you. Dr. Brown is a disgrace to modern age, science based medicine. EVERY single patient leaves with an antibiotic (zpack) and then has to come back for a "recheck" in a few days. I feel sorry for all patients who fall for her BS. They dont file secondary insurances at all bc they're incompetent. Dr. Brown is rude and condescending and clearly anyone who's been going here for years, has never been to another doctor's office. I would NEVER recommend this office to anyone! Oh, and THEY'VE GIVEN THE WRONG VACCINES TO KIDS SEVERAL TIMES! BEWARE!!!!!
There are so many other pediatric offices to choose from I would not recommend going here. We brought our 6 month old here since we changed insurances and she was in our network. At the time I had two insurances and told that to the office manager that scheduled our appointment. A week later I call to follow up about the insurance changes and get informed that they will only file for one of my insurances. I got told that I had to file my own claim for my baby since they wouldn’t file with our secondary insurance. The office manager nor the staff never mentioned this to us. Of course they don’t plan on filing at all with our secondary insurance and actually told us to do it ourselves!!! Don’t waste your time going here. I’ve been to plenty of small doctors offices that file with all insurances provided. This is just ridiculous and frankly a lazy healthcare provider office. The pediatrician called us because I was so mad about this and acted like the office manager couldn’t possibly have not told us this information about the filing process. Naturally nothing will be done to remedy the situation nor to reprimand the erroneous employee who didn’t give correct information.
This was the only pediatrician available to take new patients on the hospitals list, I see why. I personally wouldn't recommend this establishment. I waited an hour after my appointment schedule to see the doctor. My time is just as valuable as the doctor I'm paying. I asked Doctor Brown to wear gloves before checking my newborn infant, she responded "ok, but I washed my hands." I didn't see anyone in her staff wash there hands the sinks are not in a visual place, I rather be safe, it's flu season and this is the place where sick children come to. We pay her salary just say yes and move on for patient satisfaction. One member in her staff was coughing up a lung she was turning red and seemed to be sick at a baby's pediatrician office.
I would not recommend this Drs office to anyone. Dr made me & my husband feel very uncomfortable as parents. Gave us a face an attitude when we told her we dont vaccinate. My husband said he was never vaccinated an he was never sick & she said he was lucky. That we need to vaccinate our kids. We have past history with something personal and she pretty much shamed us about it..if you want a doctor all in your business telling you what to do with your kids then she is your gal!!!
i made a appiontment for annual check up then dr says the 1st appointment is a meet an greet then for us to schedule another appointment nxt wk for his annual.. omg really thts wht we thot we were doin.. idk why they ddnt tell us this before hand.. she said well the front receptionist aren't aware.. WELL MAYBE UR STAFF SHULD BE MORE AWARE AN KNW THE PROCEDURE DR!! the Dr lady was not at all some1 i wuld let see my child or recommend.. do urself a favor take them elsewhr!! rooms are small.. waiting room extra small.. the staff member ddnt wipe down the room till we went in thr.. the whole place jst looked unacceptable for me to bring my child thr..
