I am so blessed to have gone to Dr Walters for a second opinion on having cataract surgery on both eyes. The first doctor that examined me said both eyes needed surgery and recommended the expensive new lenses. My intuitions kept telling me to get another opinion, and it is so fortunate that I did. My eyes have only the vague beginnings of cataracts and my insurance would have denied coverage because my vision issues are correctible with glasses! It reminds me to always trust your gut feelings and always get a second opinion before any kind of surgery! Dr Walters was earm and friendly and very professional. I HIGHLY recommend him!

Dr. Walters performed my cataract surgery in April 2016 & a YAG Capsulotomy on both eyes in April 2022. My distance vision is 20/20 and my reading vision is perfect at 15-16". My vision seems as clear & bright as when I was a child. I was not a good candidate for the premium multi-focal IOLs available in 2016. Dr Walters recommended using mono-focal lenses to achieve optimal distance vision in my dominant eye, optimal mid-range vision in my other eye and prescription readers for optimal near vision. This was a fantastic solution for me and I find I do not need readers any more often than my friends with premium lenses, none of us are dependent on them we just use them when reading books or sewing for moe than a couple hours. My night vision seems to be slightly better than theirs. So if you are not a good candidate for premium IOLs do not be sad, excellent vision can be achieved with mono-focal IOLs in the skilled hands of Dr. Walters. His solution was perfect for me.
