Thank you to Yvette and the team at Trinity Care Center for hosting this week’s SIS – Just Networking event, powered by Oasis Senior Advisors Austin and Central Texas. Trinity offers skilled nursing and rehab services in a professional and supportive environment. The therapy team is attentive and focused on helping patients recover safely and confidently. If you’re looking for a local rehab option, reach out to Yvette—she’s a great resource and always willing to help.
I can’t speak highly enough of this place. Their kindness to my mother in law literally brought my husband and I to tears. From our initial calls with Yvette in admissions who put us at ease during an incredibly difficult time and so clearly went above and beyond her role to help us, to the nurses making jokes to make my MIL smile, to the administrator who listened compassionately to info I needed to share— we’ve felt completely reassured and hopeful for the first time in a long time. She had a stroke and had been mostly non responsive and non verbal for 5 weeks. She’s now moving her arm, talking some, and they’re sitting her up and in the sunshine. The therapists she’s working with have also seemed very genuine. It’s true that the carpet could stand to be replaced (lol) but if you only look at that and don’t look beyond to the incredible kind hearts of the staff, you’re really missing out.
Lo mejor buen servicio del personal enfermeras muy eficiente
My dad has stayed at Trinity for once for respite and a second time for in-patient physical therapy/rehab. We strongly considered other options that specialize in physical therapy. However, some of those options felt more like a hospital setting and my dad felt so much at home when he stayed for respite that he wanted to go back. Kudos to Trinity Staff for their unwavering warmth and empathy towards the residents.
Both my mother and father are in this facility NOT by my choice. My mother's paralyzed from the neck down and requires being turned every 2 hours per doctors orders. In order to prevent bed sores. She is hardly ever being turned. Both mother and father almost never receive their proper am and pm medication at the right times either get am medication for PM and or only getting PM medication. The food is horrible I've seen a chilly dog being served quite often and in the evenings when can cause digestive issues to patients. Also chicken nuggets. Horrible it's a skill nursing facility not a daycare. Some of the nursing staff has attitudes and do not properly clean my mother up which is not sanitary. Something needs to change our love ones deserve the love and respect more then this to live out their final days with us.
I hope everyone takes the time to read my very honest review. Before I talk about mine and my father's experience with this horrible place I'd like to shout out a few people who were very good to us. Amber, Leo, Nell, Emily, Victoria, Yvette, The physical therapy staff and Patsy. I appreciate all of you! My father came here for rehab and unfortunately ended up staying. I feel so guilty for leaving him in this place for so long. Besides the people mentioned above, Trinity has some of the most nastiest, unprofessional healthcare workers I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. The lack of compassion and integrity concerning their JOBS/ the care of the defenseless is blatantly obvious and disgusting. Anytime I made a complaint, I was lied to that it would be resolved only for me to find out later that the issue wasn't even addressed and not one person put forth any effort. I used to send emails to Ms Christina (have everything in writing when dealing with this place) and was ignored until I complained. This is the head nurse??? In the 3 years my father lived here I never spoke to her in person NOT once, she avoided me when I came in which I thought was funny. Even on his last day she avoided me :) I also remember a nasty tech CODY calling me and asking when was my dad was leaving??????? because apparently my father WITH DEMENTIA told him so, so I guess it was true. I reminded him that he has dementia, and he then laughed and hung up on me. I will never ever forget that encounter and that was my first impression of him. Such a nasty "employee", I cringed anytime I saw him because my father often spoke of how nasty Cody treated him. I PICKED HIM UP ON HIS LAST DAY THERE AND HE WAS COVERED IN FECES. I LEFT, AFTER 3 YEARS WITH A FEW SHIRTS, 3 PAIRS OF PANTS AND A FEW SWEATERS. No clothes, and anything else of somewhat value was gone. There are plenty of healthcare workers who value their jobs and genuinely care for others but you will not find many of those people here. While looking for a new facility for him, a lady came by to meet him. She called me and said she was so happy that my dad was leaving that place and how horrible it was. She was only there for a few minutes!! She also mentioned his room being 67 degrees which was often the case. They stuck him at the end of the hall, in a dark cold room, so they dont have to deal with him. (also the employees sneak out the back door at night to smoke marijuana and cigs) That is all I have for now, i have so many unfortunate stories but I will save those for my report to Texas Health and human services. For the Love of God, Do not leave your loved one to be cared for by such dark spirits of spite and unhappiness.
Awesome staff and support !
Recently placed my Mom here, the admin staff, medical staff & caregivers have all been very attentive and genuinely care for my Mom's well being, safety & comfort. The communication has been very refreshing, keeping us informed & updated during this unplanned transition. Very pleased with the level of care!
We moved my mom to Trinity Care about 2 months ago. I was apprehensive about many things. I am happy to report that Trinity has been one of the best things we ever did for my mom! She has acclimated well thanks to the kind, supportive, and caring staff. The facility is clean, looks and feels homey - nothing like nursing homes of the past. The staff has eased the adjustment for my mom and I will forever be grateful for their love and care.
I recently visited my God Mother at Trinity. Having worked in a nursing home for 4 years, I am very picky and a tough customer. So when I say I was impressed by how clean and tidy everything is, that is a true testament. Most importantly I saw happy, adjusted and calm residents who were smiling and pleasant with each other. We sat in the game room for our visit. Staff and residents greeted each other with genuine care. It is also worth noting that the facility was festively decorated for the holidays with an amazing tree and seasonal ornaments on it in the dining room. So pretty! My God Mother mentioned how she and other residents combined efforts to decorate the doors of fellow residents to spread some love and cheer to their neighbors. In fairness, I had high expectations given I have known the administrator, Christy Wallace, for almost 40 years, when we met in college. She has always had a genuine compassion for caring for the elderly and has dedicated her life to ensuring older people are respected and provided the quality of life they have earned and deserve. While I myself am not yet ready for the services this center offers, I must admit that when the time comes, I hope Trinity will have a room for me! The vibe there is one where people are not just living but are actually thriving! I think with Christy’s leadership and the help of her excellent staff, they put the gold back into the golden years!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
