Hunt Regional Urgent Care's Online Review Report Card

I give it two stars for the front desk attendant. She was very nice and efficient, but the rest was just eh. I came in with a very sore throat, convinced I had strep. The wait is what I would’ve expected for an urgent care, not too bad. The nurse took my temp and blood pressure and the doctor came in. He seemed so uncomfortable and very stand offish. He checked my throat and ears. That’s it. He ordered tests for Covid, Strep, and Flu. They came back negative and he just said, oh well just keep doing the normal things like Advil and Tylenol. I was a little put off by that bc I didn’t get a full exam. He didn’t check in my nose or listen to my breathing, even after disclosing to the nurse that I am asthmatic. It just felt very uncomfortable and made me feel like I was a bother. I’m sure I just have a bad cold or sinus infection, but I spent $70 to just find out I don’t have strep. If it were a possible sinus infection, he could’ve treated me for that, but instead I left with no true answers. It takes a lot for me to go to the doctor so just going says how had I was feeling. Sadly, this experience certainly won’t bring me back there.

Staff was excellent and wait time was fast

Absolutely amazing clinic. I went here with my two young children one of which has a terrible fear of doctors. Let me start by staying the office is spotless. The front staff was absolutely amazing. I regrettably didn’t ask the name of the sweet woman that helped us, but she has dark hair and glasses. She was so incredibly sweet to my 2 year old and it really helped with her anxiety. She was so helpful and loving. The doctor was also absolutely amazing. He was kind and gentle. He was thorough and explained everything very well to me. He was so sweet to my daughter she didn’t shed a single tear! This meant the world to me as a mother because having a child with a fear is so hard to see, so being able to watch her overcome it today was so special. This entire staff went above and beyond to provide the absolute best care, even after the appointment when I needed a doctors note for son they stayed in the phone with me until we got it situated. This place is seriously a 10/10 and a place I will recommend to anyone. Thank you for your kindness and professionalism, and most of all thank you for your dedication to making my babies happy and healthy.

Royse City Urgent Care has always been great the few times we needed their service. However, we were turned away this evening, because of “possible insurance billing issues.” My son had cut his finger open while at work. We arrived at 7:30pm, (patient cut off time). Unfortunately, they were more concerned about potential billing issues, than the actual patients care. We were then informed that “we could go to a different urgent care or ER, but to not disclose that it was worked related, in order to be seen.” I responded, that we didn’t disclose to them that it was work related. You had just asked. 🤷‍♀️ We would have been fine paying self pay in order to be seen, if they didn’t want to use our personal insurance, but that wasn’t an option provided to us. - Do Better.

Compassionate, Stellar Service I took my young daughter to Royse City Urgent Care because she was running a 106 fever. The entire staff was tender and caring to both me and my daughter even though we walked in 10 minutes before closing. They quickly diagnosed her with the flu and gave helpful suggestions to me as well as sent a prescription to the pharmacy I gave them. I headed to the pharmacy immediately after leaving, only to discover the pharmacy I gave them was closed. I quickly returned to Royse City Urgent Care only to discover they had also closed as soon as we left. Hoping maybe someone was still in the back, I started knocking on the door. One of the doctors happened to be driving by as he was leaving and saw me. He chose to come back and help me. He was so compassionate and made a call to a nurse to get the medicine transferred to another pharmacy. The nurse then called me back several times for about an hour afterward trying to locate the particular medicine in stock at a pharmacy and succeeded! The entire staff went above and beyond to serve me and my sick daughter and I truly hope they are blessed for their kind actions. This was customer service at its very finest! We highly recommend Royse City Urgent Care!!

Took my 8 yr old in running fever and coughing up green stuff, as soon as the PA walked in the room and asked about symptoms she said yes it’s cold and flu season as if she had already decided what the issue was. Saw a PA today named Sabrina who showed zero compassion or concern for my sick child. She listened to her breathing and looked at her throat said all looked and sounded fine even though my child coughed up the green stuff and showed it to her. Sabrina refused to give her antibiotics with clear signs of infection and said it is just viral and has to run its course. She spent less than two minutes total in the room with us. Was by far the biggest waste of time and worst experience I’ve had with an urgent care. We will not be back as long as she or uncaring people like her are employed here

Our nurse Diana was so attentive and sweet with my daughter, she is truly the best! The doctor and all staff were amazing as well.

Called to get COVID test. They said come on in. Arrived and Nicole the receptionist took care of us promptly. She also aided us with paperwork. Nurse was very effective and administered tests in a timely fashion.
