List of Ross Alexander's Reviews
We arrived on time and were met by a very kind receptionist. With a less than 5 minutes wait , we were promptly taken back. It's my first visit and the process went very smoothly. The nurse was very kind and helpful.Dr. Alexander came in very promptly . Did a through exam . I will continue to useDr. Alexander and look forward to being his patient.
WORST DOCTOR AND STAFF!!! Suffered with a rash that started on my chest and spread to my shoulders then down my back for 18months. Saw Dr. Alexander five times over that time period just for the rash. He walked in looked at it prescribed steroids taking 3minutes of his precious time and he certainly made you feel that way. Finally on my last visit he decided I had contact dermatitis and the only viable choice was an injectable medication dupixent which is known to cause liver failure and is $1,800 per month. The process of getting this medicine approved with insurance and lab work should have taken a couple days. BTW my out-of-pocket would still be $300 per month. After a week and my entire torso covered in a rash I called the office to speak with the nurse. I had spoken with my insurance and they were waiting on a code from her that they had requested 4 days prior. The nurse got on the line and before I could say a word she started screaming at me telling me not to call she would get to it and hung up on me! I called and spoke with the office manager who informed me Dr. Alexander was firing me as a patient. It took me another 6mths to get into another dermatologist here in San Angelo. After one visit this doctor said I was having an allergic reaction to something but for due diligence took a biopsy and sent me for allergy test. Two weeks later for follow up post testing and I was allergic to PPD a known chemical in hair color. The doctor gave me a steroid shot to clear me up. I told my hair stylist about the PPD so she could change to a product without PPD and a year later never so much as a bump. UNBELIEVABLE but TRUE! My entire torso was a rash and bruises because of me scratching. I couldn’t sleep it was miserable 😖 DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME MONEY OR HEALTH WITH THIS GUY! He needs to retire!!!
After speaking with the receptionist I've decided to take my business elsewhere. She was flat out rude and condescending. She was speaking to me like I was a child. Based on that call alone I'd say stay away from Dr Alexander's office.
Dr. Alexander is great to work with. Being a repeat patient due to skin cancers, I find him expedient and knowledgeable. Going again soon for another skin situation. (Went to his dermatologist Dad, "Itchie" Alexander, for my chronic poison ivy as a child. Good doctoring runs in the family.)
Went in to get an abscess checked out years ago. I was told it was my weight, poor hygiene (?), folliculitis, and that I had a staff infection...After dealing with this for years it continued to move to different spots on my body so I went to a different dermatologist. As it turns out I have a mild case of hydradenitis suppurativa, not folliculitis.
Will not return. Receptionist could not have been more rude. She scolded me about not seeing and reading 6 signs on entry. At my age, I don’t need to be scolded. She could have been nicer and accommodating. She was not! Then she told me I needed to return to my vehicle and pull around to the front entrance. I had parked where I did because I am handicapped and use a cane. I have been parking there for 15 years and entering. Sorry, I don’t read all of the signs. I can’t without my glasses which I wasn’t wearing in due to the type of procedure I was having. Walking 30 feet is EXCESSIVELY painful for me. I had 6 back injections 2 days before trying to help the pain. They did not work. I like friendly service. I will not be back.
I’ve been going to him for at least twenty plus years...Can always get in within a week or less.He has called me numerous times to explain results...I went to his before he retired...He is a great person and a great doctor
Excellent physician. Very smart and responsive.
Dr Alexander has always been thorough and professional
Doctor Ross Alexander is a wonderful caring Doctor. He takes time to explain your symptoms and treatment. All I can say is wow. Doctor Ross Alexander personality called me and told me the results. I'm 65 years old and I've never had a Doctor that was treating me call me personally and tell me the results, all I can say is wow Doctor you're the best.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
