I had a procedure at Advanced Surgery Center on 1/21/2020. I was told they checked with my insurance and I was responsible for $1,342.53. On 1/21 I paid $500.00 with an FSA card, $150.00 in cash and authorized a payment of $692.53 on my debit card for 1/24/2020. My explanation of benefits indicates I was responsible for $565.39 which means I am due a refund of $777.14. I called Advanced Surgery Center to inquire about my refund and was told I should receive it in the mail in approximately 2 weeks. On 2/18 I called to inquire again and was directed to your business office. I spoke with Jordan who transferred me to Betty. I explained the dates and payment amounts. She was able to see my EOB and that I was responsible for $565.39, but was unable to see how much I paid. Betty indicated she would submit a research request to determine the amount of my refund. I called back on 2/24, spoke with Betty and she advised me that she hadn't entered the request, apologized, entered the request and would bring it to the attention of a manager for an expedited resolution. I called back on 3/9 and Betty advised there was no resolution. I spoke with a supervision, Jordan, I believe. Who advised me he would have it looked into and escalated and that I could call back for an update 3/16. I called on 3/16, spoke with Jordan and was advised the issue had been referred to a different supervisor named Dallas. I was charged more that twice my responsible amount and it had been nearly 2 months I cannot get funds due me, returned.  The reason I am leaving a negative review here, going to WOAI and the Better Business Bureau is because 1- your office advised me I owed more that twice my responsible amount, 2- it appears your office has not properly reported all of my payments to your billing office, the billing office is so inept and  unorganized they cannot see all payments, or this is a deliberate attempt to delay or decline processing my refund. It's not worth a $500.00 retainer for an attorney to only then get $277.14 back. So this it my best recourse. Also, I'm sure I can't be the only person to have this issue with your business office and/or facility.

If you need minor invasive procedures come to this center as per order. Staff is amazingly friendly, confident, swift but cautious and provide extreme TLC to patients. They reassure anyone who may have doubts. Great team who seem to have worked together for a while, therefore providing complete comfort prior to and post procedure. 5+ in my book as a practicing nurse.

Staff there did great but calling in HORRIBLE! I have to keep calling back to fix the issue. N

The whole team is so amazing, from the receptionists to the nurses and anesthesiologist. I had to go in for a minor procedure on my feet, but as it was my first procedure ever I was extremely nervous. The nurses were so reassuring, never made me feel like a bother, and made the whole experience very pleasant. I had lots of billing questions, and the receptionist was very thorough and provided me all of the information I needed and more, all while mainting a super friendly attitude.I honestly believe that if it weren't for the amazing staff, this could have been a very traumatizing experience for me, given the level of anxiety I was having. But now I'm much more comfortable with the idea of having to get any procedure done again, and if that happens, I hope I can go here again!Also, I agree with the review below about Eric! Someone give that man a raise! I was practically in tears right before the procedure, and was in tears right after when I was waking up from anesthesia, and he was SO nice and comforting, didn't make me feel dumb even though my anxieties were unfounded, and was overall very professional and skilled at what he does.

Appointment was at 1045. I didn’t get rolled into procedure room til after 3. Staff sat at station and laughed and talked about Starbucks, working out, weddings. Never really came in to check on me. When we asked what was taking so long, the nurse just said “oh well you’re doctor is running a little behind”. A little? Not great teamwork.

Recently I took my wife for an outpatient procedure to Advanced Surgery Center in San Antonio located at 18414 N. US Hwy 281, suite 114, SanAntonio, Texas 78259I can only express great things about this facility.Its cleanliness, comfort and easy to find location is remarkableBut the best of all is the professionalism of its staff.From the registration personal to its nurses, all so courteous and nice.Specially, I have a word for a male nurse in holding area, named Eric, a veteran of 30 years, who trained at BAMC initially. He was the one who was able to start an IV to my wife. She has very difficult veins to access.In the two occasions that she was at the facility, he was the one who we chose.Very gentle and kind person, which we are glad to individualize , but not in detriment to all others which we also compliment

I recently had right knee arthroscopy (8/18/16). I can't express the professionalism and top notch care that this facility had to offer. Not only did the nursing staff do an awesome job, my surgeon Dr Andrew Whaley did an awesome job as well. I am looking forward for another surgery on my right knee pretty soon.
